I agree. As long as everyone involved is a consenting adult, the government should fuck right off. That said, any law that decriminalizes prostitution should be accompanied with protections to prevent sex trafficking, along with a substantial increase in anti-trafficking funding. It should also allow for sex workers to create and maintain online blacklists of problem clients like Russ. FOSTA made things very dangerous because it shut those "john review" sites down.

Consumer rights must always be balanced with the rights of the service provider, likewise employee rights must always be balanced by employer rights. You can't allow a business to suddenly become legal and not provide protections for everyone involved. Customers, workers, employers, etc. No one can be unduly vulnerable to another.

It's why while I am all for legalizing sex work, I also don't trust anyone to do it sensibly and safely for all involved.
