I think these Telegram conversations are the perfect demonstration of Gabe's cognitive dissonance. When he gets criticized for something, he tends to focus on a couple of specific minor points he thinks he can argue or explain away, then only address those very specific points while ignoring the rest. The fact that he's STILL trying to play off the "bringing my kids to a babyfur meetup" thing as a bad joke years later (despite providing zero evidence to back this up) is a perfect example of this. While I don't endorse it myself, it is fully possible to simultaneously be a decent furry and a decent parent, except that Gabe is neither of these things.

There are plenty of furries that have made a stupid decision or two. If the only bad thing Gabe did in his life was the "babies at a babyfur party" """joke""", nobody would give a shit after a few weeks and it probably wouldn't have even warranted a mention in the furry drama general thread. What makes Gabe so noteworthy is that he has made literally hundreds of these bad decisions, and when they are explicitly pointed out (with hard evidence backing up 90% of them), his response is to say "nope, everyone else is the wrong one here for pointing out I'm doing bad things".

Gabe can't even use the "it's only on KF" excuse anymore because his behavior has become increasingly erratic and hostile over incredibly minor incidents, spilling out onto other websites and services. Friendly reminder that Gabe had a month-long meltdown over someone making a 5-second jab at him in a 22-minute video. This freakout wasn't some event that happened 10+ years ago that someone brought up to troll him, it literally happened a few weeks ago.

Also, since Gabe likes making the "KF is making defamatory statements about me" argument, the thing about defamatory statements is that you have to be able to prove they're untrue. We have plenty of evidence to prove nearly every accusation made in this thread. So Gabe, if you have genuine evidence that can disprove these accusations, either post it or fuck off. Oh, that's right, you can't because you don't have any, so instead, you're just going to whine about how mean we are for being right.

The lesser of two evils argument. It works only so far, but for Gabe, there's so many evils that him explaining the lesser of them leads me to think he's trying to hide a lot more then just him taking his kids to a cub fur meet.
