There are more checks and balances to this system than none at all, TLDR, assisted suicide can only be done if A) the patient requests it and B) the doctor agrees and prescribes the medicine.

A doctor can't force or coerce a patient into assisted suicide, and there has to be a third party that oversees the whole thing to make sure it's ethical. They don't just hand you bye-bye pills.

On top of that, you can only request assisted suicide if you are eligible to make medical decisions for yourself.

It is completely up to the patient in question, which is not the modus of eugenics.

Maybe I'm not being very compassionate, but it mostly sounds like a lot of lefties freaking out that, theoretically, a bigot doctor could get a depressed minority patient who wants to seek suicide and the doctor gleefully agrees. That minorities are more likely to be depressed due to oppression and being passed over for jobs, family rejecting their identities, etc. So they are more likely to request assisted suicide, therefore 'culling' their population to make room for more cis white people or something. Thinking this will spiral into eugenics where they start like...offering assisted suicides to trans people more often or something is just pure conspiracy.

I think a similar sort of thing happened when Roe V. Wade was repealed, where many women (women I know) became paranoid that the government would use period-tracker apps to spy on if they have missed their periods, and have reason to investigate or arrest them in states that have decided that abortion is illegal. Although, that one seems to have more ground to walk on than nazi eugenics in Canada.

if people who have power and authority in a society have the ability to read and control minds and therefore can dictate the truth in any way they want and with no one being able to contest, it ends up creating an extremely oppressive and stressful environment.
in the population's view, Aliana would be executing people without evidence.

People were just talking about how Aliana handles the response to violent crime, not society as a whole (which, in case Lily forgot, she DID describe as being a socialist utopia ruled by a benevolent but iron-fisted dictator-- not unlike the Val'kyr society, now that she's brought it up.)

Also note that she says it's not a utopia not because of imperfect policy but because not everybody agrees with it.

On a more immediate note, how many Force users are there? And she acts like Aliana is single-handedly and personally addressing all violent crime by breaching people's minds? For the entire galaxy? They might be saying 'lol space wizards' but there's no way a handful of Force users would be able to personally police billions of violent crimes? Obviously she hasn't thought of the Empire's policies if she didn't even think about how logistically impossible (let alone ethically repulsive) her 'just kill the bad people' idea is.

Good to know Lily still doesn't understand that dialogue uses an entirely different system than scripted scenes and no, no game that incorporates both allows you to skip dialogue the same way.

Never mind that, from personal experience, when people complain about unskippable cutscenes they are specifically complaining about scripted scenes they have no ability to speed up. With dialogue you mash a button (or hold one down); with cutscenes you jusr have to sit there for sometimes minutes on end until it's over.

I was thinking much of her love of Kingdom Hearts probably relies on skipping cutscenes (have you HEARD the dialogue pacing in recent games? It's agonizing) but apparently those are the scenes 'nobody' wants to skip? I don't understand.

It's all-but-confirmed that she sends the asks to herself. I think her wife is also visiting, and Lily seems to get "more" hate when her wife is there, maybe for pity points.

So she's not so much of a masochist for not turning them off as she's just a loser who wants to appear popular enough to be hated. She also can't ignore them, because that's too easy.

There's literally an option to skip all cutscenes. It's available to change as soon as you get control of the character.

After some playing, I not longer want Lily to review the new pokemon because it's pokemon.
