I was recently reminded of Lily after a few videos about both Stockholm and the pretending to be anti-grooming to get at already pre-groomed people stuff. The massive disconnect with the actual person and the avatar is still one of the most jarring things I've seen on the internet. The "dark skin because 1/1000th percent Native" aspect especially.

There's something a little interesting about this but I'm not sure what it necessarily means, if it goes any deeper than Lily just not understanding language. By her own words it sounds like people want to hear her thoughts on the movie ('talking about it'), probably in a more Glass of Water presentation, but she somehow interpreted this as 'full movie critical riff'. Which... no, that's not what they were asking for. You put a poll out giving people an option they didn't actually ask for and then calling attention to how nobody asked for it.

I wonder if it's just not something she's interested in doing so she made a skewed poll just to prove that actually her audience doesn't want it so she'll continue to not do it, or if she thought a critical riff would be met with more enthusiasm and maybe open the door to doing more in that style (which is comparatively low-effort comped to full video production) and it turns out that her audience didn't bite. The way she posted the results feels more like the former, as it feels like a 'you guys keep bugging me about this but clearly you don't care eough to actually vote for it' post.

The hatred they receive is so much more intense than other creators. It is propagated by this talking point that all trans people want to do is abuse children. It would be a laughable accusation if the belief didn't come with a very real body count. This line of thinking that all trans people want is to groom kids and corrupt the moral fabric of western society is out and out destructive.

However. Lily, as she wants to do, is taking this point and using it as a shield so once again, a reminder. Lily Orchard isn't a predator because she's trans. Lily Orchard is just an emotionally abusive predator preying on the barely legals, and mentally vulnerable adults in her audience...and she just happens to be trans.
