As well all know Josh hates anime with a passion and if the podcasts are anything to go by this has potentially tainted his relations with the small and secluded weeaboo demographic that hides on this site. In the event that we could possibly force Josh to watch one singular anime, which one do you think would act as the best representative of the genre? I may run a poll if I can get enough nominations in this thread and we will continue to theory craft from there so to speak. We need something that is devoid of typical anime tropes and written with serious artistic intent. However considering that Josh has also watched Serial Experiment Lain it would need to be something that is easy to understand and not too high concept as it would not go over brainlets heads. I'll going to throw out a few potential picks of my own.

1. Cowboy Bebop.
I believe this one has the highest chances of success as it is extremely popular among normalfags due to it's serious writing, great artwork, and lack of general anime autist tropes. It is also very short and contained and easy to jump into from the first episode and has a phenomenal dub meaning Josh won't need to hear gook speak.

2. Kaiji Ultimate Survivor
While this is more explicitly Japanese then Cowboy Bebop, Kaiji is still extremely well crafted and a great representative of the seinen genre. It is handled fairly seriously and is short as well. The focus of the anime is also on gambling and considering Josh's addiction to Bossmanjack streams he may see many traits in Kaiji that he also likes in the bossman

3. Hamtaro
This is much more risky then any of the other options as it is extremely weeb like and unserious as possible. However we do know that Josh loves hamsters and the cuteness of the show may overload his senses and fill the void present within his empty soul. If this option works it will convert him into a full blown weeb autist but as I've mentioned it's more uncertain.

Anime is poisoned content to Null. He'll never touch anything that a tranny has poisoned.....except Watamote. Watamote is ironically too poisonous to trannies because it hits them too close to home.

I've said it before, Mushi-Shi is as inoffensive and sleepy as an anime can get. It's like a G-rated The Witcher for children set in some vague timeless traditional Japanese setting. It's not very exciting to watch but that means weebs don't talk about it either.

The Laughing Salesman is also an interesting anime that doesn't fit the weeb mold. That's actually a pretty good for the people here I think.

People on KF just need to hate on shit though, haha. It's true most anime is shit though, the animation quality can make shit hard to watch even going from amateur youtube videos.

The only two that would make any sense are probably the least anime suggestions: Ghost in the Shell (movie), and Jin-Roh.

Black Lagoon could be good, but I'll remind everyone that there's the arc with the orphaned-child-porn-twins turned genderfluid assassins who are definitely not of age and do some uh...stuff. Stuff that ain't just murdering the shit out of Russians. It's in service of the story and not presented as fanservice, in fact in context it's intended to be sickening, but I'd bet good money the instant that comes up he'd stop watching and make an angry post at whoever convinced him to watch the show. :story:
