Wars don't affect young people, at least not the ones with Twitter accounts who got their parents to line them up into a sweet cushy job to pay off their student loan. There are working young people out there right now, but they are busy in Iraq or Afghanistan or working some minimum wage job, so they don't have the disposable time and income to sit around on Twitter all day or become bloggers for Otherkin weekly.

Essentially it's the Upper Class REEEEing at the working class, because they had the megaphone, they thought they were the vast vast majority. It's class warfare in real time.

You're right. I suppose the fact that people can refer to having to take responsibility for themselves as "adulting" indicates they have sufficient resources behind them to be self sufficient. By that metric I have been adulting since before I left university what with getting jobs during the holidays etc. to pay for lodgings and alcohol (mostly alcohol) during term time.
