ARC Raiders is an upcoming PvPvE third-person extraction adventure launching in 30th of october 2025.
It is being developed by the people behind The Finals.

Here is the link for the gameplay trailer.

Here is the cinematic trailer

According to their Gamescom 2024 teaser it will be 40 USD on launch

Will this game be better than Tarkov as an extraction shooter?

It's another extraction shooter so it's aimed at a niche audience.

Currently has pretty good numbers for a new IP, atleast compared to Bungie's Marathon.
More keys will be distributed tomorrow and the long weekend will certainly help the numbers quite a bit.
We'll se if it retains the players.

Is this supposed to be like The Forever Winter but without the cool aesthetic? I dunno, it looks really uninspired.

It is going for the hyper realism aesthetic, sort of like last of us, but instead of zombies you fight robots and
other players. It is kinda generic I agree, but if the gameplay sticks, it might be a good time.

The character creation is something I guess.
There aren't many options, only preset faces, hair style/color, backpacks and body type A/B.

It might just be me, but the faces look like they are from old people and have that uncanny valley look.

I will never understand the appeal of extraction shooter or battle royales
I guess it boils down to large scale map fighting for scarce resources with limited lives to be the last man standing.

The only difference with extraction is you keep these resources and you can finish early if you go to designated locations.

The thrill is like gambling, losing it all or winning all.

Another body type game, death is imminent for garbage games like this.
Has been getting a lot positive comments from gaming channels and streamers that aren't in the politics stuff.

Surprised shills still haven't posted a thing about the body type in the game.

New cinematic trailer was shown in the Summer Games Fest 2025, revealing the release date as 30th October 2025.

It seems that fans were so hyped, that they are now are up in arms because the devs disappointed them with the release date.
Posts are now locked on the Arc Raiders subreddit.

Here are two screenshots of some comments about their disappointment of the reveal.
From the Summer Games Fest 2025 trailer and the megathread of the subreddit.

A lot of fans were seriously expecting a shadow drop of the game, while some were disappointed that there won't be even a beta until launch.

Isn't this the studio of ex DICE devs that also develop The Finals?
I've never been a fan of extraction shooters, or battle royals; kinda surprised they're still even in business, but I guess they're making some money off The Finals/investors at least.

There seem to be a lot of black women in games these days.
And yet, i have only rarely met a black gamer girl.
Literally the only thing I know about Arc Raiders is that it's supposed to be a viable product compared to the absolute shitshow that is Marathon. Then I saw the girl boss trailer during Summer Game Fest and now I am no longer convinced. How many women—not just Black, but women of *any* race—are interested in a niche, unforgiving PvP genre? I don't even mean that in a negative way. I'm sure there are a handful out there, but women are not the core audience of this genre. Very odd marketing choice.

I don't care if Arc Raiders is a success or if it's woke or some shit.

I just want the new Marathon to crash and burn spectacularly so Bungie never tries to desecrate that franchise again.

It’s just more woke shovelware. I’m sure this “hype” is very organic and not total bullshit. Video game history is so interesting with how FREQUENTLY it repeats. Lawbringers, Concord and Battleborn all flopped chasing the hero shooter trend. Heroes of the Storm, Paragon, and Gigantic all flopped chasing the “moba trend”. Not to mention all the WoW, CoD, and Battle Royale clones. The extraction shooter is the newest incarnation, SHORT EVERYTHING.

What do you guys think will be the next trend after extraction shooters?
