Visiting kiwifarms.net occasionally gives me the "connection is not secure" issue for not having HTTPS. It goes away on refresh. Maybe one of the proxies has an expired SSL cert?

Has anyone else been experiencing absurdly slow upload speeds lately? Occasionally I'll have a file upload with a relatively normal bitrate, but most of the time, it's crawling.

For smaller files, I can usually get them through in a try or two. But larger files, like a 130 MB video, will be on pace to take over an hour. It won't get that far though because the longer a file takes to upload, the higher the likelihood it will error out.

In this current state, it seems impossible to upload anything over like 50 MB.

Edit: Shortly after making this post, I was able to quickly upload two large files. Did Null see this and restart some backend server or something? 🤔

Uploads always run like shit. I've spent dozens of hours trying to fix it. It's just a side-effect of how our network topology is distributed to be D/DoS resistant. I have a list of things to get to but I have an idea to fix it that involves physically relocating and upgrading devices.

Uploading images is completely broken for me. Manual saved file selection, clipboard paste, doesn't matter. I immediately get the "oops we ran into some problems" popup, even if the images themselves do paste correctly into the post field. Can't press "post reply", can't toggle BB code, and manually uploading results in two gray boxes with filenames but no size or insert button.
Honestly feels like I've been slapped with an upload ban rather than a site fuckup.
edit: original attempt at posting this resulted in "please enter a vaild message". Had to refresh and paste the whole thing into the post field again.

I tried a few different browsers. On Tor, at least, the attach files broke in a different way and I got this error message:
The upload failed because the file could not be written to the server. The site administrator will need to resolve this before any files can be uploaded.

Edit: And of course as soon as I fucking post this it works again. Leaving it up for posteriors.

I can't upload anything at all on Tor. Images break and can't link media. Sometimes I'll be able to upload an image without it breaking but that's rare now. Insert image works better when sending something to another user but you can't choose to thumbnail.

Adding a video to a new post seems to be fine but editing a post to add a video is not. Weird. I don't think it's an issue with the site but with Tor. Higher permissions don't seem to play well with a lot of forums now.

I am also having upload issues, just doing a simple image upload and it gave me an error stating the server couldn't save the file and to contact the administrator. I'm on clearnet so I think it's just a server issue currently.
 
I can't edit my profile. No matter what, a security error pops up. I also want to add that loading pictures is kinda messed up. When you attach one, it doesn't load.

My images break completely once I upload them but don't press "reply". I have that issue anywhere that wants to change a file to webp though. Saving webp photos tend to get broken as well so I screenshot stuff a lot.

Ooh, interesting test then, do direct webp uploads work? If so maybe it's an issue with the image conversion

Edit: Just tested, webp direct upload broken too :(

Same issue. Server replies with error 500, btw.

I feel like there shouldn't be 15 new pages without a single highlight.

Past general experience for me is that highlights would usually run out with around three or four or so pages to end of thread.
