If I recall it was the only part of Red World made during his time that was made by a different person. There was also supposed to have been a South Africa tree too but kaiser apparently didn't like it (at least according to the fanfork devs so take it with a grain of salt)?

Just like IRL. And yeah the nazi South Africa path is surprisingly fun, you are outnumbered for most of the war but the fact that you annex the countries you capitulate and the big army bonuses from your tree make it a very exciting war
