My experience at the no kings rally in the nearest medium sized Wisconsin city. Maybe 300 people showed up.

It was old people. It was majority old people. It was shocking the vast majority of the crowd was 50+ middle class white people. Very few out and proud fags, very few minorities, and I get that the colleges are out for the summer, but very few young people.

The antifacist brigade leading the march was 15 50yo whites wearing whatever unbranded black clothing they had in their closets. I didnt see a single police officer.

They had a PA system, but they weren't playing any music. The host was begging people to sing or to chant, but it was just silence except for the occasional drive by honking or people talking to each other.

As I left it began pouring rain.

An introvert isn't going to go to a protest so all it means is things are so bad, an introvert has to make a public appearance. We typically like to stay at home. Read or watch tv. It's like the difference between being a cat or a dog. Dogs tend to be more friendly with everyone while cats are selective.

I’m not a very social person and I too am annoyed the term has been co-opted to be special snowflake bullshit, but oh my god this is exactly the spiel they give every time, it’s like ‘I’m vegan btw’ for people whose lives revolve around Harry Potter and Dr Who. Surely you’ve seen those types?

As an actual introvert I fucking hate these socially awkward neurotics claiming it. Just because they're so broken a phone call puts them in bed for a week doesn't make them an introvert. For God's sake, it just means you have to get a bit of solitude to recharge your "social batteries" if you will. It's like being Celiac and watching all the food hipsters make Gluten-free cringe. You know, I think that's American Millennial's thing, making everything they touch cringe.

"Drumpf's authoritarianism" means jack shit when people have lost jobs because of cancel culture, been locked down because of COVID (complete with snitch lines!) seen inconvenient facts scrubbed from Google searches and the media, when Dems have been blatantly ignoring the constitution to turn acts of self-defense into "hate crimes" and intentionally try to thwart SCOTUS rulings to ban guns.

Simply put "No Kings" is fucking meaningless when you've been acting like a king.

It was weird when I drove around yesterday. A lot of out of towner license plates and an uptick in POCs. People are posting anti-trump vandalism that just never happened around here before-- It's wild how obvious it is that many of these people are paid out of towners to be here for the 'protest' or just to fuck around in general.

So we've got a nationwide Dem riot, two Dem politicians assassinated, probably by their own party, and Iran shooting down Israeli stealth planes. But is anything of significance actually happening?
It's sad how there's a good chance that in a month, nothing will change because of these seemingly massive things, and will embolden the "Nothing Ever Happens" crowd.

Honestly no I don't associate with vegans so never have seen what you describe. Generally people don't go around calling themselves introverted. I go to myer-briggs meetups sometimes so that's usually when I bring up my type (intp).

In normal conversation, it just doesn't come up.

Anyways back to America. Screw this No Kings protest. Screw the illegals!
