Just wanted to add that, yes, this started with incels. Manosphere content was popping off in the late 2000s/2010s and it was observed that these men would use humanizing terms for themselves and other men - dude, man, bro, guy, etc. - but would refer to women almost exclusively as females. Cue Ferengi jokes.

Of course, this quickly slid into retardation because the internet is a giant game of telephone, so when tranny shit metastasized people would insist that the word female in and of itself was offensive because they've heard the Ferengi jokes but don't know where the complaint originates from.

To play devil's advocate in some languages the word female is pejorative and sounds vulgar in a non-scientific context.
I wouldn't like to be called female in my mother tongue for example.

I myself identify as non-binary, or more specific, demiflux. Does anyone here ever get tired of having to explain their identity? Sometimes I feel like it's just easier to not mention it at all, since otherwise I'll end up having to explain it and so many people simply don't take it seriously.

Nothing has changed for me. I've known I was non-binary for a long time. I just feel like barely anyone gets me anyway so why bother..you know?

It seems pretty absurd that someone would get upset because you call them "female" or because you use the term, doesn't it? It's simply a set of physiological conditions that you were given, and it shouldn't be an insult. Whether you don't like your secondary sexual characteristics and modify them for whatever reason is another matter, but no one should be ashamed of their sex. Being a "female" isn't a bad thing; it's a kind of biological condition and nothing more.

The distinction between sex and gender is common in many languages, even in ancient contexts, such as biblical Hebrew in some cases, for example.
In any case, this doesn't mean that ordinary people don't frequently use the terms "female" and "woman" as synonyms.

Female refers to sex. The term is occasionally used in a way that, while not necessarily dehumanizing, is disrespectful, especially when in a similar context you wouldn't use the term "male". I imagine part of why troons like to scold people about this is because it's something feminists occasionally do and they relish the feeling of doing something actual women do.

A woman is an adult human female. A girl is a human female pre-adulthood.

Neither woman, girl, nor female are feelings or legitimate "identities" a male can ever have.

The modern concept of "gender" as separate from sex was made up by a deranged pedophile named John Money in the 1960s.
Originally it was just a word used because Victorians were too prudish to say "sex".

That's not what she's describing. She's not hearing a voice. She's using the phrase "inner child" to describe the male character she wants to play, and using this character as an excuse for her arrested devlopment and general weakness.
