A primary school has held up a trans man as a positive example of masculinity in teaching materials for its pupils.

Streatham Wells School, in south-west London, said Elliott Page, the Canadian actor who medically transitioned with cross-sex hormones along with gender surgery and now identifies as a man, showed that masculinity “can mean softness and strength”.

The school used the example of Page, along with the singer Harry Styles, to show children how men can be multi-dimensional. Page, who starred in Juno, Inception and X-Men, publicly came out as gay in 2014 and as transgender in 2020, using the pronouns he/they.

In an article for the online newsletter Teachwire, Sarah Wordlaw, the head teacher, wrote about her school’s efforts to tackle issues such as toxic masculinity and violence against women.

‘We need to encourage empathy’

She wrote: “It is important to teach pupils about harmful stereotypes about masculinity. However, if the first time we teach and name masculinity is calling it toxic, that could do more damage than good to our boys.

“It is extremely important to teach about positive masculinities. We need to encourage empathy, kindness, showing emotions, listening to alternative points of view and developing emotional literacy.

“Undoing the deeply ingrained gender stereotypes in our society takes time. It’s certainly not a quick fix. We have seen a significant improvement in children’s awareness of key issues surrounding gender equality. They know how to use their voice to advocate for others.”

‘To be a man is not to be simply one thing’

Ms Wordlaw added: “Moving forward, we are going to continue to work on representation in our curriculum. This is not just representation of the amazing, strong women who have shaped global history, but also representation of positive masculinity.

“We need to show that to be a man is not to be simply one thing. To do so, we highlight well-known figures such as Harry Styles and Elliot Page. They show that masculinity can mean softness and strength, and everything in between.”

However, some educational professionals have suggested that holding up a trans man as a positive example of masculinity might undermine the intended message that biological men can be gentle and caring.

Streatham Wells Primary and the Charter Schools Educational Trust, which runs the school, were approached for comment.

You won't believe this but the author of this article is a balding effeminate Jew.

Ironic since most pooners act out the worst stereotypes of “masculinity” in the same way troons think being a woman is wearing knee socks and butt plugs.

showing a literal woman as a positive example for masculinity is another level of insulting.
Women also don't really think Page is a man or masculine, they're just pretending for all the usual woke reasons. It's a betrayal of both men and women to push this gross trans stuff in schools.

Plus most actual women don't like pussy effeminate men even if they weren't originally girls. Hollywood has tried to shove non-masculine actors down our throats for many years and we're not biting. But Cary Grant was a sex symbol because he acted straight and masculine (and most people didn't know about his..."best friend" that caused his four divorces).

They're trying to push Pedro Pascal as a sex symbol for women and I doubt it's working now that we're seeing how creepy and fruity he is off screen. It's the female version of a boner-killer.

Most of the people ITT are optimistic that the kids that have been through this will become hardcore real men to compensate, but the truth is that they will just progress to becoming broken and useless people because they’re not going to find heroes that they can actually learn from.
Making people heroic was never a capability of the public education system, and here they’ve just abandoned all pretense that they can cast mankind into stronger mankind.

Because nothing says positive example of masculinity like being jim lahey's daughter. Guess him and randy were diddling her on the side then hub, would explain why she trooned out

and allow them to cry
Being able to cry
To some extent, sure, social pressure might bully the more sensitive boys who cry more naturally. And that's shitty.

But this all encompassing ideology that the most important chunk of social differences between the sexes is solely a social construct is just bullshit.

Testosterone makes it harder to cry. Prolactin makes it easier. (Women have higher levels of prolactin)

I could get on board with some kind of anti bullying campaign for the outliers of dudes that cry more easily.

But this sort of weird woke bullying of guys who are naturally, partially-biologically stoic, is hypocritical and faggy. I don't feel like crying, I'm not being shamed into it, I just don't feel it. Fuck off.

then every time you tear up at the end of old yeller I'll punch you in the nuts, is that better

Pfft, I don't tear up at Old Yeller. I tear up at the Battle Hymn of the Republic.

But seriously, it's not like I don't get sad. I think that's the more important thing. I just physiologically don't cry very easily. My cat, Hotdog, who I miss very much, (I talked about her in the KF cat thread) died last year and it tore me apart. I just physically didn't cry.

It's annoying that cultural warriors have made this their dumb example about how men are oppressing themselves instead of just different (valid) approaches to how they handle emotions.

can we just fucking glass Britain at this point ? theres nothing we can do save it at this point, its de-facto a dictatorship under Chairman Starmer
Pushing trannies as positive masculinity is how you get boys into andrew tate
this, Andrew Tate is a shitlord but faggotry being promoted is how you get retards like him to be so popular in the first place, this isn't going to end how the government wants it to

We already had a gender who was soft and empathetic . They are called women. Or chest feeders, ovulators, uterus owners, under new speak.

Men were content to go to work, pull the plow, take a bullet, protect the family, etc. I wonder why they aren't anymore?
