I think theres always been some kind of thyroid issue going on with her, which, unsurprising given her mass. I don’t think there was ever any definitive cancer going on until now.

No, you're not crazy. She teased potentially having thyroid cancer the time she appeared-and-vanished before getting with Dakota. She got called out for baiting, gave conflicting information in her responses and didn't mention it again until the snowflake announcement.

I don’t remember any explicit cancer announcements prior to the recent thyroid one for Becky herself. Becky’s mom had breast cancer that eventually metastasized into the lung cancer that killed her (and I think was considered a second case)?

I swear at least one other Becky clan family member also had cancer when she was with Amber. Could be confusing that with Misty angrily wishing that all the haydurs got crotch cancer.

That being said, with how much fat was around her thyroid, it seemed more a matter of time of when Becky would have thyroid cancer versus if. People had been suspecting Amber would get cancer from her weight for years before her diagnosis, even if uterine cancer wasn’t the most common guess.

I distinctly remember Becky making a community post or something similar alluding to the fact that she PROBABLY has thyroid cancer. This was before this diagnosis, and before Dakota I believe. But yes, she has hinted at cancer before, and I remember that people were upset that she basically announced she had cancer without even knowing for sure.

Being big to the point you resemble a thumb will come with health problems and just look at the family they must've been cursed everyone seems to either drop dead like flies or have the worst luck.

These elements may directly or indirectly determine cell proliferation and promote tumorigenesis in various tissues, including the thyroid gland. Therefore, a healthy diet with an adequate amount of fruits and vegetables and daily physical activity may be important in reducing the risk of TC. These hypotheses on lifestyle factors deserve attention in future thyroid cancer research.
