Current US law is 20 years for a Utility Patent and 14 years for a Design Patent. All these number are from the filing date. The only extension you can get is for delays in the patent office granting the patent or other regulatory delays IE you file your patent but it takes the FDA 5 years to grant approval to sell then you can file for a 5 year extension. This has been the law since 1995.

In a shocking turn of events, Rossmann cucks completely and apologizes to Cami Research, pleads for mercy of his YouTube channel, agrees to unlisting the video + never mentioning the company ever again, citing dwindling income. Guessing Gamer's Nexus will be next *sigh*(:_(

IF it was a real threat, but most C&Ds aren't. It's not even a binding promise that they'd pursue damages in that regard; it's just a threat they throw around, like we could totally try to pursue this course against you, in the hopes that the person they sent it to will be clueless and just be intimidated into ceasing and desisting.

As Rossmann points out in the video, the firm very clearly didn't do any research into what they were even issuing the C&D against - so they also probably had no idea that he wouldn't just bowl over like most people do when threatened by a whole lot of hot air.
 
I hate these recording consent states so much because these laws are clearly made and abused by people that just want to do gross, shady shit and then swing their dick around when somebody proves they're pieces of shit. Its supposed to establish a precedent of hearsay where nothing is provable and everything is rumor. I truly believe people like the ones that run cami belong in a communist hellhole where they are not allowed to make more than a certain amount of money.
 
I wonder what skeletons are in CAMI Research's closets if they're brave and dumb enough to think that fucking with Louis Rossmann of all people would lead to anything but absolute disaster for them. I think the case of BwE should serve as a grave warning for dipshits who want to pull this kind of garbage.

Louis is a vindictive fuck with very few skeletons in his own closet, which makes him a dangerous man to toy with.
