Here is a video from some decent size YouTubers who are complaining or just highlighting the changes. I think people were surprised a bit by her CPM and the changes include AI judgement of video monetization as well as a very large number of YouTube users being forced into a sort of "hide controversial videos" view which means the thumbnail for "bad" videos won't even show up at all. If she says anything the system doesn't like (and people are saying its judgements make no sense at all) then she could be losing out quite a decent amount.

To piggyback off of this question, I tend to believe that the reason even her most loyal beezers aren't pitching in on this "Pay for Content" plea is that she has proven herself so untrustworthy that even they know she won't follow through with whatever promises are made. I popped in on one of the lives a few days ago and there were members complaining that she was already arguing against the chat's ideas for content that they would essentially be paying for. Showing up in a hotel room just a day or two after raising money for that little girl may prove too much to recover from. That grift and the subsequent fall out was so glaringly obvious that I believe even someone so far up her asshole that they still taste yesterday's greasey meal could see it for what it was. Sure, she will always have new followers with a few dollars to throw at her but I really don't think the money will ever come in like that again unless she can prove to her actual fans that she is willing to make the content they're "donating" to. We all know how good she is at being told what to do, though, so I really don't see that happening.

Salah thinks being perceived as "broke" is shameful, but successfully lying about wealth is high status. He cares less about actual money and luxury goods than the public perception he has those things. He expects others to feel the same way. Chantal's chat should be willing to lie, cheat and steal to avoid him calling them broke in public.

But it might also be a scammer tactic to some degree. Have you ever watched Social Catfish or any other channels that interview romance scam victims in depth? Salah might be following that script in a particularly retarded way.

Once the romance scammer completely empties the savings of the victim, they often shame the victim into finding money wherever they can. "You don't love me! If you loved me, you'd ask your [relative] for the money!"

They also pressure the victim into delaying bill paying or taking out loans to prove their devotion to the scammer. They don't just about lie about the fake boyfriend being in a hospital or in jail. They also use shame and guilt to extract money.

If I was an advertiser paying for youtube ads, I wouldn't want my paid ads playing on a black screen livestream. Anyone watching is no longer looking at the screen or else they're only reading the chat.

I still don’t know how she’s going to accept Canada. If she tries to find a place, it’ll be found out and she’ll be reported to anyone who can kick her out the minute she does something out of line. That and her finances offers her no real freedom whatsoever. And if her family steps in, it probably won’t last long because there’s no way Chantal will accept any restrictions on her video activity or any criticisms of her horrible behavior.
