Progress has been made on my newly invented AI system (its a actual new design not just porting stuff). The idea is any AI mobs have an 'idle AI' which will spawn an 'active AI' to go complete specific tasks (like killing people). This has worked really well to reduce the complexity of AI code by splitting it up like that and I am finding it much easier to complete AI things now.
Initially I upgraded kiwi AI with various behaviors that can be used for other animals. As a result the kiwi is much more responsive:
I have also finally due to the existence of a real ai system implemented goliaths. They have been incorporated into asteroid generation and will simulate arriving as an egg from outer space, impact the asteroid, plant a glowshroom farm, and then try to tunnel 30 tiles into the asteroid to find a spot to dig their nest. They will then periodically get hungry and go back to their farm to eat and re-plant any dead shrooms. This is also kindof how I want spiders to work later.
Upon seeing mobs that are not another goliath (they are extremely racist against non goliath forms of life) they will freeze, build up anger, and then attack. If you lay down then much like a bear they will leave you alone and calm down unless you are in their nest at which point they will murder you no matter what you do. Not shown in the video but they also have a tentacle attack which they will use if you are still in sight and they haven't managed to hit you in melee for 8 seconds.
As a final note, any atom/movable can potentially have AI. I intend to use this to improve on bots and add zombies and stuff (I wanna do zombies next which will also relate to changeling a bit)

- will chirp to express happiness, which is built up by eating, laying eggs, or being petted
- will either flee or aggro upon sustaining damage (50/50)
- will express fear due to explosions

Tbh I hate indians hopefully everyone who does that dies (in game)play as an Indian
