I hit that point by like age 20. It's not that games are boring so much as they're not the crack that they used to be at 9 years old. Games are very fun if you're in a good mood, which only happens if you're actually making progress in life and not rotting like a loser.
I was at that point 10 years ago then i played Bloodborne and realized it was not me who is burned out, its just that most games sucked.

Last seven pages of this thread are outstanding evidence of Synth’s total loss of momentum. Synth is void that has to be filled with, well, just about anything it seems.

We are slowly approaching synth's 30th. If the information in the grift wars thread is correct, his birthday should be in November. I'm not sure how he will react, if he will sperg out more or try to downplay it.

I think most games suck because they lack atmosphere. If I can't look back at a game in nostalgia 5 minutes after playing it, then it feels like a waste of time. I'd rather play a ps1 game with god awful clunky gameplay with great atmosphere than a ps5 game (if it existed) with amazing dopamine frying gameplay but no atmosphere.
And no, I'm not talking about style (Persona 5 has 0 atmosphere, Persona games before it do thoughever). People talk about 'escapism' but then will play games that aren't even immersive.

No atmosphere = No soul
No exception
Facts!

I was watching some video from Memory Runner and couldn't help but think how much of a negative Nancy Synth is all the time. It's fine for situations where it's warranted but damn... The guy can make you feel down even if you're not.

True. Every game having the same engine nowadays fucks up the atmosphere a lot. Lots of early 3D games especially have a very one-of-a-kind feel to them.

He's aged horrifically. I'm not sure if he's drinking off stream more than he lets on or if he's just one of those people who ages rapidly in their late 20s but this was Synth a year and a half ago.

Fair enough, my error. He still looks bad for 30 though.
It's the droopy swelled area under the eyes; It gets like that when you don't get enough sleep or have a very irregular sleeping pattern. It can also get like that when you have sudden weight gains/losses.

Good news, it's not over for Synth:
