the most famous lady named jane who worked with apes just died? fuck my life toobz 2025 is NOT my year ill tell you what

If you haven't, you should look into the Gombe Chimpanzee War. Dankula did a video on it, and it's more than a little horrifying.

Frodo the Chimp deserves mentioning too. Goodall made us aware of some crazy shit.
I am amazed how Chimpanzee were viewed as playful and simple in the 20th century. Watching shows and movies with Chimpanzees from that period knowing how brutal they can be is kind of a trip.

Jane had something she cared about and put her entire life into it, you can't scoff at that. So many people go on and on about helping animals but not many have the guts to actually go to a forest and live with them.
On that same note, I saw Tim Curry made an appearance this week, and I swear he died in 2012 or so.
2012 was when he had his major stroke. Understandably he's spent the majority of his time since in private focusing on his health so theirs not much to hear about him.

(NEXSTAR) – Groundbreaking chimpanzee researcher Jane Goodall has died, the institute bearing her name said Wednesday. She was 91 years old.

She was a wonderful woman who lived a long, fulfilling life that changed the way we see animals forever, and she did it all as ethically as she could which is far, far more than you can say for other scientists, especially ones at the time.

Rest easy, and have fun beating the shit out of Harry Harlow, Jane. Lords knows that if there's anyone who deserves to do that to him besides the countless monkeys he tortured, it's you.

They really are terrifying animals, they do the kind of shit you only see humans do in horror movies and true crime.

Total Gorilla victory - the peaceful, chill apes that only get mean when protecting their young.
