Just because the actual autists that do the work are too spineless to tell the troons to Cobain themselves doesn't mean modding is a tranny adjacent hobby. Modding is a community minded meritocracy, something trannies absolutely abhor. They manage to jockey for positions of influence and use them as cudgels as the projects they infest crash and burn once they reach critical mass

I think blaming Panzer for what happened with the HOI4 modding scene is overly naive.

This is more of a reflection that in Big 25, the autistic nerd community has been absolutely ravaged by transgenderism. The HOI4 mod community suffers from a case of too many children which compounds with them being dysfunctional autists in a overly "permissive" space to create the massive drama we're familiar with. Off the top of my head, the Star Wars: Empire at War modding scene has a lot of weirdos as well but because all of the people there are actual adults (the game is from 2006) there's little drama in the bigger mods. The last incident involved someone releasing a mod early because otherwise it was not going to see the light of day.

Panzer did an amazing job of fucking up community / dev team management catastrophically. He created a singularity of cows and wiped out half the team every week. The teams themselves couldn't communicate without him by design for most of the devtime. However, the actual changes that messed up the HOI4 / Paradox modding scene are the result of changes in the greater community and internet. HOI3's playerbase was a lot more chuddy. HOI3 itself was a lot less cartoonish aesthetically than HOI4 was. While it had automation options they were intended as fallbacks rather than the main mode of gameplay. HOI4 punishes you for micromanaging your units at all as much as it can and clearly wants you to use the retarded battleplanner for everything. Also, internet nerd communities changed a lot to support the current thing more. Overall, it's very likely even without Panzer in particular it would still be a trainwreck, because Panzer is just one lucky person out of thousands.

The only thing unique about Panzer is that he was inept enough that even though he regularly kicked people out for the dumbest things he always managed to avoid the genuinely problematic people for 5 straight years. Going from Internet Nazi (retards) to a CURRENT THING SUPPORTER (socially acceptable retards) is a pretty good mirror, imo, of the community in general.
Panzer and TNO are the product of changes in systems around them (the internet, communities, software etc.) rather than Panzer in particular doing anything super special.

Mein Kampf is a dogshit book, though. Even amongst genuine National Socialists very few people read it because its a meandering, bloated, pseudointellectual textbook. There's nothing that you could get from Hitler you couldn't get from Jünger presented in a far more intelligent, Nietzschean manner. the Corporal wasn't a philosopher, he was a statesman.

Off-Topic, but Storm of Steel is an absolute banger of a book. I've only read the Penguin translation and nothing else of Jüngers but if the rest is of equal quality (and his reputation suggests as much) it's probably entertaining enough to read without a ulterior motive. Junger is good enough to make sitting in a cramped trench filled with angry krauts getting shells dropped on them an exciting and entertaining experience to read about.

I was moreso thinking his papers like Nationalist Revolution, but yeah Storm of Steel is a good memoir. His writing is intriguing, far more than Hitler's.

I mean as a way to understand historical context and think if you agree or not, i know the book is not a philosofical awakening but every ramble he could think about/Biography(I mean i rember more the parts about him learning Nationalism back in High school or remembering his poor broke boy days in Vienna then the iconic phrases that they say the book has) but i think you are asking pears to the olive trees since we all know Hittler was a better Statesman than writer.
But i am pretty sure you could ask Panzer in his stormer days any phrase off the Book and he couldn´t say shit since he never did.

I did some event localisation and I am coding some pre election events now. I was mainly doing bug fixes these past few days, sorry for the slow updates I hope to have something to show off soon.

Tito's takeover now should present more of a challenge to Italy. For the record, the ustase is also supposed to have some sort of
bosnian revolt, but the code for that is strangely missing. Eventually I hope to give Croatia and the rest of the Balkans proper content but that's a long way off.
Speidel's Germany was initially conceived as a way for the German AI to stop freezing up every time Goering failed. It took on a life of its own and I am happy
to finally give Speidel a path. One day I will give him more content as well as his potential successors but that is for another time.
