Getting a shitty grilled cheese cooked off a radiator would likely be the highlight of Kaya's life, and being in prison is far better than living in a 3x4 without even being allowed to stand up all day. With the new clip it appears as though he's utilizing the vibration function, it makes me wonder if that was his intention for the shock, such that he pressed the wrong button leading to the shock and yelp.

Either way it isn't justified and he's still a piece of shit, there are use cases for both the shock and vibration, and forcing your dog to act like a stream prop isn't justification for either. It's especially abhorrent with how he acts immediately afterwards with the lying and complete disregard for the dog's well being, going mask off in showing how little he cares for her. I do believe that you can love a dog and still utilize these tools situationally, on a case by case basis. Aggression towards people or other pets can and should have some consideration towards using these collars, especially if you find yourself having trouble with retraining a dog you've adopted. Sometimes a strong hand is needed for true compassion towards another, and because of that you can be thankful that some dogs have gotten to live longer, happier lives because they were corrected away from courses that lead them towards abandonment or being put down.

But there is a deserved distinction to be made about reveling in the usage in order to control or enforce submission. There is no love in forcing Kaya to remain on her bed, and that is what ultimately disgusts me the most about Hasan's treatment. It's only exemplified further by his worldview and actions in the following days - that the self-serving lies underlying his relationship with the truth show that what he desires deep down is just another vain attempt at holding on to his pride and attempting consolidate the power he has, not just over the dog, but to his entire audience. It paints his soul as rotten, and I can only hope that he comes to repent and understand that the shock is only the surface level aspect that has people upset - it's the foundation of flawed morality he chooses to abide by that is where the true sin lies.

No, it's not even organic. This dog was brought specifically for pandering towards his fans. You know why every other streamer doesn't undergo "spot training" to this degree? Because, unlike Hassan, they actually love their pets. To Hassan, the fact that Kaya has any free will of her own is an inconvenience.

Credit to @Memology 101 for pointing this out on X. A Hasan redditor asked about Hasan’s treatment of Kaya a year ago. I just want to address the top comment for that thread explaining that hyperactive dogs need a “place” command so that they can relax.

This would make sense, but Kaya wasn’t hyperactive at all when Hasan shocks the dog. The only time I’m aware of Kaya being hyperactive was when she dominated iDubbbz. Could only find the autistic Kino Casino play by play of it on YouTube but it starts at 1:37:00.

Why didn’t Hasan correct Kaya there when the dog was being truly unruly and deserved being corrected? Is it because he doesn’t want a loose lipped idiot like Ian Jomha to know he’ll shock the dog to get what he desires? I think so.
