Low trust society/families, those are getting more and more common. I've known people like that, one of my school friend was kicked from his parents house when he was 18, he lived with me for a few years because he was studying and working minimum wage but after he graduated and got into a good paid job(more than what his father was making), they wanted him back home.

The only situation I see Luke voluntarily leaving in is if he manages to buy floatplane out from under Linus. Its clearly his baby, and while he's obviously comfortable under LTT, if floatplane was threatened I do think he'd step up to try and salvage it.
I think you're right. Luke and Linus are best friends, but Floatplane is the only real thing he has to show for 10 years of service.

He's getting old, and he's doing that thing where they start panicking over their looks. He's got the money to 'do something about it' and so off he went. Its not a complicated fashion technique. Just usually by the time people start panicking over aging looks, they've got some receding hair or bad skin going on. He had to get a bit creative to show his insecurity off.

Because, in a rare situation for youtubers, his inner motivations don't appear to include sexual degeneracy, despite what his underwear modelling would present. It really is just self ego and self presentation, perhaps combined with some discomfort about having to be the face of LTT still after all the alternative presenters failed. Growing old and losing your looks is hard enough, doing so when you're also supposed to be the head of a very youth-driven hobby tech market maker is even harder.
Never forget that a consistent paycheck is worth way more than a few good months of YouTube bucks followed by zero or working freelance. I think a lot of people forget that. So even though the salaries may seem low, they're getting extreme stability out of it and getting to work on something they presumably enjoy doing.

The problem with "point and laugh" threads like these is that you eventually run out of new things to point and laugh at,so you find minor nitpicks to point and laugh at,but the problem doubly there is you get do used to nitpicks you ignore actually new things to point and laugh at. Strange innit?
