Kids under 16 don't need to be on social media in the first place.
Call me a boomer, whatever, there's no fucking reason for junior high kids to need an internet presence at all. Who the fuck do they need to have contact with that can't be done over anything besides facebook, twitter, etc? Parents who allow their 13-15 year olds to have unfettered access to the internet have no right being parents. It's just lazy. You're just begging for little Johnny or Jamie to get groomed.

Any societal positive is outdone by the fact that I don't want a fucking ID or facial recognition to use the Internet, nor do I like daddy government telling me certain objective social media sites need it and others don't.
No one should need to upload ID to watch BMJ
By the way could you get any more oikophobic than restricting Kick (an Aussie based streaming site) and not AmazonTM's Twitch?

I agree, I wasn't advocating for more government overreach, fuck that, I'm advocating for parents to stop being lazy and letting their children have unrestricted access to social media and the internet as a whole.
We aren't in the same internet as we were 20 years ago, and even then it was silly for parents to not pay attention.

It's not the government's job to raise children, because if they did, the kids would be more fucked than they already are.

I disagree with the idea that he shot himself. Given the large search which has been undertaken it seems improbable that both a gunshot would be heard from some distance and that his body hasn’t been found. It also doesn’t fit with my mental model of the person he is. He made his own firearm to prepare against this very scenario. Why would he go down without a fight? Did any of the famous outlaws who once roamed commit suicide?

I don’t believe he would have killed another person either, as that would have been identified very quickly. Although possible, I don’t think he himself was opportunistically killed by an individual. That would require the stars to have aligned in a very bad way for Dezi and again required the murder to have avoided the significant police scrutiny of the area.

Most probably he was test firing one of those big beautiful Glocks the police carry around. If you’re a fugitive cop-killer you’ll want to have at least put a round down the gun you’re trusting your life on.
