It's basically the equivalent of the establishment pretending Trump wasn't actually popular in 2015. Because the people in this thread despise him so much they can't fathom other people could actually like him and enjoy his content. I'm hoping with his new found love for defending jews like Dave Portnoy his popularity will wane but that's probably just wishful thinking. I predict Fuentes will be Trump 2.0. Establishment pretending he's Hitler while in reality he's just New Establishment Candidate #362826. I think we're in for a long ride with Fuentes unfortunately. He's a long way from even being eligible to run for president.

Edit: Also the current Vice President of the United States admitted he thought he was a fag when he was a kid, crossdressed publicly in college, married a street shitting Indian who doesn't share his religion, and pooped out street shitting kids, and he has been celebrated and forgiven for all of that by the Republican party. The difference is that Trump had been a global mega-celebrity for decades before he ran in 2015. He had Oprah begging him to run in the 90s. Obviously Fuentes has a dedicated fanbase and there's some wind in his sails whether it's astroturfing or organic, but I don't think you can compare him to Trump.

I agree, he's clearly a household name at least amoung young people at this point, even if a lot of them don't really understand what he's saying and just like that he's funny and transgressive - the only thing left to see is whether his rise in popularity is temporary and came as a result of the backlash over the war in Gaza (like how Andrew Tate was the biggest name on Earth for a year or so from mid-2022 to mid-2023 but is now basically forgotten) or if he's here to stay. My money is on the latter because, despite the valid criticisms of Nick and his "movement," he's objectively extremely resilient, charismatic, good at what he does, has genuine grassroots support among a growing portion of young people (despite any speculation about botting), and, most importantly, has been routinely telling his followers to get educated and acquire power for 8+ years, many of whom have followed his advice.

Everything could come crashing down if knowledge about the Ali scandal is ever mainstreamed, but I honestly doubt that will ever happen. I also won't rule out him being literally killed by an insane leftist or intelligence service if he continues to grow in popularity, especially if he stays in that same house in fucking Chicago.

Nick never talks about groypers. You could watch his show every day for a year and still not know what a groyper is. At most he might say the word in a sentence that gives the viewer no context. At least post-kirk death, since he's gotten his largest influx of new viewers ever.
