How nice of him to list the side effects, really only explain nausea as one, and acting like they're rare and minor. Giving ways to deal with the nausea and making the claims this is a way to tan while minimizing cancer risk instead of actually listing cancer as a known side effect/risk and reason this shit will never get approved by any health organisation. It's not like you can find examples of people starting this stuff and getting skin cancer within a month of use despite no history of it in the family. Actually it's stupider, you still have to go out into the sun to trigger the tanning. A lot of people even get complacent and think since they're not burning they must be safe and spend more time than normal outside without physical protection or even sunscreen (ignorant to the fact that people who tan and very dark skinned people still get sun damage and cancer). The agent works by forcing your skin to tan at super speed basically, but you still need to trigger the initial tanning process itself. The guide even recommends for those who still burn using this thing to start with 1-2 minutes at a time until their tan is enough that they can spend more time outside without being burnt. I feel like someone with those genetics probably doesn't have a body capable of enduring lots of sun exposure even if they got tanned enough not to burn. Most common behavior is people stick to their usual tan (or their usual day) routine and add this stuff in without reducing sun exposure just to maximize the tan (Brits especially). The guide even recommends just taking this stuff on days you plan to go out and tan like normal. I could have missed it but I didn't notice extra warnings to remember you still need sunscreen. Clav's daily routine at least suggests sunscreen use, but no mention of it needing reapplication so it's probably of no use by the afternoon when the sun is highest lol.
So yeah, it's bad enough on its own, but you still get sun exposure. It's only less if you have a specific end goal of tanning colour and you now need less time to achieve it. Most people who tan seem to get addicted and need darker and darker skin so in practice I doubt most people are even taking advantage of that. Many are using it just to be able to tan or go out without a burn in the first place like Brits and Irish redheads thinking this is a way to enjoy the sun without burning. And Americans seem to use it to get as dark as they can to replace spray tanning and hours in the tan beds for hours outside.

The risk of melanoma only for a very strange skin tone that doesn't look good on him in the slightest. He has a strange pallor to his skin, which one has to wonder is a side effect of the melanotan, or the meth use since that can prevent oxygen from reaching your skin if abused. His skin is going to look terrible in 5 years.
