Whatever happened to online video game chat systems, where words had to be whitelisted to appear? If the concern is toward predators luring kids onto Discord, why not restrict minors to post and view pre-approved vocabulary and leave the names of outside platforms of communication off that whitelist? Acronyms could still be an issue, but it would certainly be a step in the right direction.

Recently Hytoko, powerword Eli Adams, has uploaded a video on his YouTube channel about his relationship with his Ex titled "Timeline of a Toxic Relationship". Hytoko refers to his ex as Arlo, they met in a Boba Tea shop that Eli frequented. Arlo handed a sticky note to Eli to ask him out, this was his first time dating someone. The relationship lasted for 2-3 weeks, Eli would pay for Arlo's meals, Ubers, and other financial things. Eli would frequently hang out with each other. THEY E-DATED THROUGH ROBLOX ON Dress To Impress (A Roblox game about Dress up)!!!! The relationship started to broke apart when Hytoko noticed that Arlo is not investing herself into Eli's interests like Dungeons & Dragons and Roblox games Eli is interested in. Hytoko wanted some distance for himself so he stated that his "social battery was low" despite being in vcs with his other friends.
Arlo picked up on this and tried apoligizing and was concerned, Hytoko responded in a horrible fashion to be left alone. In the video, he puts this interaction off as "She would [..] start spamming me". The next day, Arlo stated her frustrations and Eli responded with the most corporate apology, with Arlo still sad from the ordeal from yesterday. In the video Eli states "The following day, Arlo would threaten to break up with me. I would start preciously apologizing to which Arlo would direct everything at me as the bad guy in the situation." In the shown DMs, there is no evidence of Arlo threatening a break up, moreso she wants an explanation of Eli's outburst. He is victimizing himself while viewing his girlfriend as an abuser.
The relationship continued after they both sadly reaffirmed each other.

I miss the days where server side exploiting was a thing and you could use btools to fuck up condos, use scripts to turn condos and dating places into literal plantations or racist bootcamps or just getting admin scripts to start banning everyone for reasons like "only niggers date online kys" or "pedo detected and its you" etc

Honestly this is a pattern that's happened with quite a lot of the internet, specifically social media in that same exact time frame. Outside of specifically r34 junk the event horizon, to me, is when the internet got detached from reality because it became reality, which is evident with how Tiktok evolved. This was primarily caused by Covid although had been seeping in since the early 2010s if you were extremely terminally online and traces began to show up for normal people in the late 2010s as you mention. Roblox really seems like the platform that was hit by far the hardest because of its extremely social nature, its young, impressionable playerbase, and its community which used to truly feel alive but feels to have decayed and doesn't feel very long for this earth anymore. The old neighborhood & high school hangout/roleplay games were tied to reality and even the ODers were trying to replicate real world boyfriend/girlfriend relationships. You can't say the same about the gooners we have now, and the transition point between the two feels like the slender stuff. Everything tied to Roblox seems to have become a parody of itself at this point, and the platform was only truly stable because normal kids & normal people played it. Normal people are getting increasingly rarer everywhere, because everything has been shoehorned into personalized algorithms so new, shared cultural stuff is difficult to come by these days.
