Police said a local man with a national YouTube following drunkenly misfired a gun on one occasion and threatened to shoot a woman on another.
Tarl E. Warwick, 37, pleaded not guilty Thursday in Rutland County criminal court to a felony charge of first-degree aggravated domestic assault and misdemeanor charges of reckless endangerment and violation of his conditions of release on a previous charge. The charges carry a combined maximum of 16½ years. He was freed on conditions, including that he not possess any guns, not have any contact with the woman and not drink to the extent it interferes with anyone’s welfare.
Warwick operates the YouTube channel Styxhexenhammer666, which has 504,000 subscribers, according to YouTube. The channel features videos offering right-wing political analysis, as well as discussions of the occult, historic military rations and gardening. Footage circulating online shows him being arrested wearing a pirate outfit.
Rutland Town Police said they spoke last month to a woman who described two incidents involving Warwick and a gun.
In the first, she said she was with Warwick at his parents’ home and that he was “fiddling” with his gun while drunk, and that it went off right next to her. She told police he said that it had misfired and that he was so drunk that when he tried to stand up, he fell. Police said they found damage in the room’s floor consistent with a bullet hole described by the woman.
The second incident, according to affidavits, began with a discussion of an ex-husband of Warwick’s sister who “had a history of pedophilia.” The woman said she had been drinking and that she told Warwick it was good that individual was “out of the picture” because if anyone was going to do “anything like that” to Warwick’s niece, it would be Warwick.
“(The woman) explained that she did not mean this in a negative way, that she meant it as in she trusted the Defendant not to do that with his niece,” police said.
Warwick apparently did not take it that way, according to affidavits, and responded by throwing various items at the woman before pointing a gun at her and threatening to shoot her dead. The woman said she replied by telling him to do it, according to affidavits, and instead he cried and pointed the gun at himself.
Police said Warwick was under court orders not to have contact with the woman, and that her cellphone showed numerous communications between them.
Police said when they arrested Warwick, he denied having ever pointed a gun at the woman or himself.
A prior criminal case against Warwick had just been dropped the day before his arrest. Rutland County State’s Attorney Ian Sullivan said Warwick had been charged with violating a restraining order issued in another state and the case was dismissed because the original jurisdiction could not provide a certified copy of the order.

Now, even though I've been laughing at styx and the insanity going on, I do think something probably got lost in translation with these pdf allegations. It just seems like the quote would make more sense if Styx was threatening to kill the ex-husband of his sister if he was eyeballing Styx's niece. I'd rather laugh at Styx due to the facts of the matter, and these do seem out of character even for him, but who knows. It also seems like the girl tried to clarify what happened by saying "no no its not like that" and they ignored it.
What is interesting is the police confirmed they found a bullet hole in his floor from a negligent discharge.
