Probably because this is what we want. There's nothing to be outraged about. We just solved a myriad of problems by capturing the president of Venezuela, why would we be outraged?

That thread is a great, but sad read. The US government has such a high demand for irregular soldiers that it will allow a lot of fucking morons become "special forces" if they pass the courses. Loyalty, honor, and silence used to be important, but now it's a ton of sex-crazed meth heads who blather and boast on Twitter like they're teenage girls.

It started off good, but the second half of the thread is mostly unsubstantiated gossip produced by people like the guy currently sucking off Maduro.

My guess is they're trying to do an "AH HA GOTCHA" and it's failed. "AHA YOU SAID YOU WERE AGAINST WARS FOR OIL AND TALKED SHIT ON BUSH AND CHENEY" but uh....there's no war, we just swooped the fuck in and took care of shit. Like, yes, I'm fine with THIS kind of intervention. Fast, mostly bloodless (honestly, if military on their side dies IDGAF), and effective. We're fucking China over too, fantastic!

It's just more evidence of their rotting hive mind. I even see people noticing who aren't really "noticers" to say. "Why is everyone on reddit mad about this when the Venezuelans are happy?" type posts.

Legit Trump could fly to Russia, shoot Putin in the head, stop the Ukraine conflict, and somehow magically bring legitimate peace to Gaza and they would still call him Hitler.
