Confirmed.

Australia reclassified India (along with Nepal, Bangladesh, Bhutan) to Evidence Level 3 (highest risk) for student visas under the Simplified Student Visa Framework, effective January 8, 2026.

Reason: Emerging integrity risks, including fraudulent documents and non-genuine enrolments.

This means stricter scrutiny, more documentation, longer processing times, and higher refusal risk for applicants from these countries. Genuine students remain eligible but face tougher requirements.

I honestly thought they had Buckley's of finding her remains; the bush is dense as absolute fuck, the potential search area massive, and the devils will have consumed and scattered a lot of it. Finding the phone out there was also bloody amazing These volunteers have really done the impossible.
