First Riff of 2026 and it's a cheap martial arts film featuring Martin Kove and Gary Busey

Beyond the Ring

Andre is a retired MMA fighter who’s left the ring behind for a life of domestic tranquility and staring at trashcans. That second one sounds like a joke, but it is very much the dramatic linchpin of the movie, and the reveal of why this is so may cause you to pause the movie and take a long walk to Think About Some Things.

Andre’s manager is a sentient “How To Win Big At Casino Slots” VHS tape, played by Gary Busey. He’s managed to get Andre on the cover of several magazines with “Kicking” in the title: Kicking & Stretching, Combat Kicking, Kicking Fancy, Modern Kicking Bride, Barely Legal Kicking. Andre is angling to be the Mr. July centerfold in “Trashcan Gazer” magazine, but these plans are upended when his adorable daughter collapses and, in the role every young actress dreams of, spends the rest of the movie unconscious in a hospital bed

Honestly, I'm kind of glad people are finally finding out now how much shit the Netflix run was. Oddly enough, I had one of my comments mocked by the troon Crow because I didn't think the voice fit at all. These are people who are definitely trying too hard. At least with a lot of the Mike seasons, they didn't have to try hard to get a joke to land. If it landed it landed, if it didn't, they moved on. The editing on the Netflix show is all over the place, and there's no real structure to any of it. It's like Joel just decided to wake up and make shit up as he went along without realizing WHY people liked the vibe of the show in the first place.

No wonder Mike turned a cameo role down.

I still think if they took the Season 11 crew and just made MST the right way, week after week writing and filming one ep after another, they could have built up a good rapport after a season or two
as much as I like KTMA and s1 there's a lot of people who feel the original crew really didn't hit close to stride until they'd been doing it long enough that Frank joined up and Josh left
but yeah the end result was meh at best

Kiwi Farms, I just found out that Count Dracula was a faggot.

Everybody wants to try andaximize efficiency and skip the grind... but the sad truth is you can't. Quality art requires the grind and experience.

Pretty sure we can see the source and the archive in the photo there...
you're really just running with "trust me bro" for important details like this?
Was Dracula outed on BlueSky? Instagram?
Was it a Transylvania rent boy tattling? Paparazzi catching him cruising in the park?

LoL it was a joke about the drugs he's smoking and the gun.

Or are you running with the gag too and playing up the autism? In which case, well done on the reverse uno play.

Mike was the secret ingredient to the success of the show that was missing during the reboot seasons. Not just as a writer but he clearly cared about the riffing first and everything else a distant second.

It's funny how Joel sells the entire thing to the company made up of former Shout people and they instantly go to Mike and Rifftrax. (Also the goal was 20,000 dollars for 4 episodes and not 4 million dollars for 6)

It's been a while since I've seen Mike and man, he's starting to really show his age. On topic, Mike being the host (and I'm assuming head writer) for the episodes is the one way to pull me back in to watch any of the new stuff.

Huh, so you're telling me a wildly bloated budget for a bunch of unfunny women was pants on head retarded and bringing back the people who made the show funny was a better idea? I, for one, am shocked.
