Someone managed to get footage of BETA DECAY's alpha or something. I really want this game to actually be real and not just some overambitious disaster.
 
Not sure if anybody here has posted this yet, but this is That Trav Guy, he's more of a general game review youtuber, though he obviously has specific interests in retro stuff, I occasionally watched him, but never subbed as I found some of his reviews to be chill and nice to listen to, the Doom ones I really liked as an avid Doom franchise fan

Then he posted his newest video, context for anyone who has never seen his videos, he uses a cartoonified version of himself as his online avatar, and has been for pretty much all of his videos, which is why it shocked my ass to see him use a girl version out of nowhere for his newest video, only looking at the comments informed me that it turns out he wanted to be a woman in between the months from his last upload.


He is STILL using the same exact voice as before, and going to the sponsor segment, he reveals what he looks like as a "woman", which is literally just him with some make up slapped on, he had long, curly hair before this.

I obviously didn't care on what his sexuality was like pre-tranny (which is why I got caught so off-guard) and he never cared to comment anything about it as far as I can remember, but, goddamn so many non-heterosexual gaming nerds are ending up like this now.

Edit: I know he looks way uglier IRL than his new girly avatar would suggest, but honestly that was a thing even before this happened.

So it's like Mullet Madjack but with a pink Y2K skin and 10x the noise. Terrible.


I actually enjoyed MM the couple times I played it (on super easy mode) but it's not the kind of thing you keep coming back to.
 
Is that Brazilian game even good? Is it even made by someone in Brazil? Cause all I see is just an average quake map mod with new textures.

It's perfectly fine but don't expect anything that's going to blow your mind.
Also, I suspect that at least one of the music tracks was made by a Brazillian hooker.

it was made by a Brazillian youtuber named Joeveno and it's basically a bunch of brainrot content cobbled up together inside the quake engine. the gameplay is fine but you won't be able to understand shit if you're not familiar with any of the memes and references.

It is the worst elements of the "boomer shooter revival" at maximum volume. Gaudy visuals, lots of circle strafing, tons of MOOOOVMENT. The game is fundamentally bad in my opinion because I hate spamming the space bar.

Bought that game and never felt more filtered by anything in terms of just not getting the joke.

Bit of an update, what little hope for this game I had dwindles as the Early Access keeps getting pushed back (I rarely buy EA games, either EA, but I at least wanted to pirate it) and as I discover that this developer has made multiple low effort projects that he didn't even bother to at least make demos of. Only one of which has a steam page. If he can't even be bothered to finished a few low effort games then this "mega project" he's working on is doomed.
The game has been in the "works" for 4 years and has barely anything to show for it, just some pre-alpha that people don't even talk about (only one person posted his footage of it which might even be the dev's alt account), the (incomplete) files that were being shared had these weird scripts that might fuck with the game's files as some reported their copies suddenly unplayable (specifically the .exe, it was flagged by some antivirus no one uses so who knows):

A lot of these are Windows related so probably nothing noteworthy.
So the game is real, the files are real, but aside from the one person I linked in my last post I see very little of anyone talking about what they played in the pre-alphas. This game is blowing up so unless the most antisocial people were the only ones playing it, this seems incredibly suspicious, people are catching on in the comments of the dev's YouTube videos too. I barely had to dig and I'm seeing more signs this game is actually a scam, many of which are from the dev himself.

Oh God damn it, another one bites the dust. I mean, not surprised at all these days but still sucks to see.

Tangentially related: The YouTube algorithm has recommended me this channel. He is actually making games / game engine for the PS1. Parsecs superior to any troonslop dev out there. Coding your own engine that is designed for an old hardware is the way to go in my opinion. Also not a tranny!

I posted about his recreation of the Silent Hill fog effect here about a year ago, but I'm glad he's still working on his game. Also had no idea he was the one that made the Yume Nikki PS1 demo earlier last year.

Even if his game ends up by a flop or never gets released, there's at least something commendable about making something run on older hardware.

Other than being bummed out, I think he'll be fine. He has a day job according to his personal site. I do hope he'll succeed and if all goes well, I might chip in and buy his game.
