Put me in that camp of people who think GTA 6 is going to be super mediocre or proactively suck or even just never end up getting released fully. It'll be funny as fuck because I'm sure DSP has planned an exclusive WWE Champions weekend from the extra income.
Anyway, every man and his dog will be playing GTA 6 24/7 as soon as it comes out and it'll be nearly impossible for DSP to get any viewership from it. On top of that I think some people avoid him if its a game they haven't played but really want to play because he ruins it.

He'll play it three times, since they're probably going to pull the same bullshit they did with GTA 5 and release it console exclusive in the last year of current gen, then release it again for full price on Playstation 6 / whatever stupid name Microsoft comes up with, then wait another year to put it out on PC. So yeah, 2030 sounds about right.

I don't think there's going to be a Gaystation 6 generation any time soon, probably not for another 5 years. Displays peaked at 4k, and 8k didn't really materialize.
Likewise graphics have plateaued. Sony has a habit of doing marketing hype for their consoles - for the PS5 it was about how they had some special SSD that no one else had. Of course it didn't matter and it was just a normal SSD and that is why Phil Burnell falls for Sony's marketing hype 24/7.
It's seriously going to be like at least 5 years until we see another khansole generation (although there will definitely be "updates" of the PS5 so you can buy models of it that run games faster)

The thing is that GTA 5 was near perfect in many ways but they are trying to improve it even further. I think they should've upgraded sideways and kept a bit of the same feeling as GTA 5 but with a very different world.
A lot of key people have left and the game keeps getting delayed. These massive videos games, GTA 6 in particular is one of the largest software projects ever made have ended up becoming like Star Citizen and are examples of project management being fucked up.
I'd love for it to be successful and I do love the GTA series and all rockstar games but it's obvious these superhero movies and giant video game releases have started to fail hardcore. They're usually technically sophisticated and impressive but they just feel like they end up as massive projects for the sake of being massive projects and that the end goal of delivering actual entertainment keeps failing to be met.
Just look at the last 5-10 years and count how many major game studios have totally lost the plot and how many massive game franchises have totally failed. It's unbelievable how terrible gayming has become. There are of course independent games that are fun but its near impossible for them to get much coverage anymore because every faggot decided they wanted to become a game dev.

LiveStreamFail recently banned political content (Hasan chimping out etc), which has made room for DSP to show up on the main feed more. And deal with more tourists than usual.

My only issue with that is that you can get it to update to "a minute ago" just by refreshing.

The video isn't loading on my end, assumedly due to the server stuff but try it yourself. Just hit F5 a couple times it'll update.
Currently the ban site is in UTC. Dev says he's gonna change it but the last ban was at 9:03PM PST.

Even the original dsp clip asmongold was reacting to was pretty tame for a dsp crash out. Just standard begging from phil he does everyday.
Its pretty ironic though that the clip that went viral was phil complaining about how little he made during street fighter, after he had just crashed out a few days ago over detractors making videos separating out how much he made during podcasts, gameplay, etc. He was seething over a video he saw where detractors claimed he only made 5 dollars during street fighter but was quick to point out if you include the podcast he made a lot more and that the income from entire stream should be lumped together not just how much he got during the actual game. Well phil if you had stuck to this line of reasoning you wanted the detractors to follow, the clip asmongold reacted to wouldn't even exist.

2025 was the year of "Everything has changed." It shows he's self-aware enough to realize he's widely considered the worst streamer alive, which must be worse than "The guy who jerked off on stream." If he weren't such an asshole, I'd feel sorry for him.
I read a bit through those threads, tourists making first contact with Phil seething about how everyone makes fun of Fat Khet.
I wonder how many of them will eventually look into the vortex and come to understand the entire human shield aspect of that relationship.

You can lead a horse to water, but you can't force it to drink - but to be fair you have to have a pretty high IQ to understand Phil Burnell. The ultimate humor in all of this is discussing him and his antics in detail so that he gets spoken about by other people.
Then those people get angry that people still follow or talk about DSP. When someone gets angry about it, it is usually an indication that they suffer from an IQ that is not sufficiently high enough to understand the brilliant satire and irony of Philip Paul Burnell. As someone said many years ago, he is like the Starship Troopers of game commentators.
