I'm also reminded of Jeremy Hambly's failed video games news site. This experiment must be 100x cheaper to operate, probably with similar quality by scraping other sources.

It's a force multiplier, which is why jeets already do this shit en mass. Search for just about anything and the first 2-3 pages will be aigenic slop abusing SEO.

Imagine what a sane person with an actual human level IQ, some interest and background in the field, some talent at writing, etc etc could do. Basically asking LLMs to do research for him, writing up a basic article outline and using SillyTavern or something similar to create the final article. You could even use SillyTavern's character system to create personas (which is something like what Grummz did here) to create different faux writers -- "this writer's background is in sports and rural america. This writer's background is british and a hardcore gamer interested in competitive 4x." etc etc.
 
For those poor fools actually engaging with kotaku and the like, how accurate/effective of a replacement that site is?

If it gives me Alyssa crying more about AI and how inhumane it is to replace Journalists with AI generated content, then I am all for it.
I do not care if the content is any good, I just want the journalists to suffer.
