If even the trannies/TRAs think he did a shit job, you know his performance was truly terrible.

Well good, I’m sure it was shit and everyone knows it was shit but no one wants to outright say it lest they be branded a transphobic wrong thinker. But what’s really getting me is the final comment:

IMG_0283.jpeg

This bozo is sooooooo close to getting it then just refuses to do so. Why wouldn’t women want to see real women performing? She’s making it out like women never wanted to perform before but are suddenly getting pissy about men claiming to be women and taking the roles they didn’t want in the first place. What a stupid take.

I’m sure there were plenty of women throughout history who were devastated to have to stand by and watch men make caricatures of them onstage, so they fought to change that. And now, what progress has been made is being taken away by men in dresses. Why is it so hard to comprehend how that might be upsetting to women?

Audio of Dylan singing that I found off of TikTok. Video of it not available yet probably because of copyright reasons.

Thankee fren. Holy shit that was awful. The boy does not have pipes. Tin whistle at best.
It’s definitely not within his natural range, and that’s even after having to take the original song to a lower key. Then you have his ever present breath control issues, which result in the weaker sound when the song goes to his falsetto. His accent fluctuating between British and American is an odd choice too, and I don’t know why the director/producer was okay with it. Overall, not a good cover of the song.

I am honestly the type of person who would reluctantly admit if someone I don't like was good something. Today is thankfully not one of those days.

I've already seen the critiquing of Dylan's dance moves, but I could barely get through this song. He's actually terrible and I would not be able to stand listing him sing repeatedly. I'll have to look up a version of this song sung by an actual woman but I can't imagine it's supposed to be that unpleasant in terms of not just his shitty man vocals but delivery as well.

I was hoping this show would bomb to deflate some of his massive ego but you still have the retards in the audience ignoring their ears bleeding to cheer him on.

A bunch of the American Boleyns do that, I think because "fitter" is not really American slang, so that line only makes since in Bri'ish.

The reviews are brutal. Here are archives of a few more threads, I recommend reading through all of them. The most effusive ones I could find said that it was very funny but that he's not the best singer.

This commenter pointed out that Dylan got "distracted" by the audience at the end and basically stopped performing to receive accolades. This is a part of the show that is basically an extended curtain call performance but is absolutely still part of the show.

Here is the Megasix video. At about 2:10 he starts going in the wrong direction and misses his mark.

And here are more pics of Dylan in full costume. Surprised they went with the blond wig. The wigs are usually custom-made for the actors, and there have been a few blond ones, but it doesn't even match the hair color he has now.

I know this is an extremely factionalized version of the wives of Henry VIII, but even in a fictionalized universe I can’t see Henry VIII leaving his wife Catherine for a troon. One of the main reasons Anne was executed was because of Henry’s frustration that she couldn’t give him a son. His obsession with having a wife to give him a legitimate son means he wouldn’t go for a troon.

Holy fuck, and him sounding this bad is in service of a show that isn't even any fucking good. I dunno, maybe it's a perfect match just on that basis. :story:
Keeping him on a shit show is 100% intentional. better than exposing him to all the families riding the Wicked wave, or ruining something else that's actually good. dear god could you imagine him playing elphaba? defying gravity would probably have the audience jamming their keys into their eardrums

I want to see Dylan in a revival of the Music Man as Marian the Librarian. Imagine him singing this song:

Another singing clip:

And for those of you playing along at home, here's Storm Lever doing the same bit:

When Lever delivers the lines it's:
Sorry, not sorry 'bout what I said / I'm just trying to have some fun / Don't worry, don't worry / Don't lose your head
"Lighten up, it's not a big deal. Lay off."
I didn't mean to hurt anyone
Slight wavering in the voice, she acknowledges she did hurt people. It wasn't her intention, and she regrets it, but it happened, and she can't undo it, so... *tiny pause where she decides it all can't be helped. Whatever. Fuck it*

LOL Say 'Oh, well!' / Or go to hell!
"Everyone is going to hate me anyway. Might as well have a good time."

But with Dylan it's:

Sorry, not sorry 'bout what I said / I'm just trying to have some fun
Smuggy face, smuggy face, smuggy face. "What's the problem?"
Don't worry, don't worry / Don't lose your head
Delivered with no emotion at all, I don't even know what his expression is trying to convey.
I didn't mean to hurt anyone
Delivered with the same tone and body movement a bitchy teacher would use to address a child who was upset she'd taken his snacks and given them away because "You should have brought enough for everyone." :smug:

LOL Say 'Oh, well!' / Or go to hell!
Aggressive for no reason, it doesn't even line up with the first bit. It doesn't make sense. Also the facial expressions are distracting.

For a career theater kid, Dylan looks so out of his element. Not just at playing a woman, but at being on stage. You could hit up a local theater group in some small town and probably find someone better than him.

I bet it stings knowing he needed to troon out to get a big Broadway role. If he were still a twink, he’d be stuck doing community theater indefinitely, at best. Him being a stunt cast despite his history of being a theater kid is quite the achievement

Bro, he's literally off key. Being as generous as possible, it's clear he's out of practice, and you need to be immensely talented to perform on Broadway.

Edit:

You can have all of that but the simple reality is she's a better performer. There's a life and energy to her that makes the magic of musical theater work. Yeah she's the wrong skin colour or whatever the fuck but I'd sooner watch a hundred hours of her in that role than another minute of Dylan prancing around.

It's always been obvious that he trooned out because he's a failed theatre kid who wasn't talented enough to make it onto Broadway. This is basically just exhibit #3382 of that (or however many days of girlhood there are).
