New leak on 4chan showing off the reworked map. It's just OTL Africa with Italy's old colonies and Burgundy has been deleted.
5 years and counting in the making.

Why on earth is Iberia still around? If you're gonna rework everything at least be consistent and get rid of the one state that has 0 reasons to exist

polandbros... it is lost...

I actually do agree with removing the GG since Nazi leadership always intended for it to be integrated sooner rather than later. Plus, it could be a way to subtly show off Bormann's influence by having his ideas for integration be adopted. Unfortunately for me though, I couldn't find exactly what his plans were from quick google searches.

Minor pet peeve of mine is how, despite TNO adding in multiple of each ideology for flavor purposes, America only has 3 colors. One color is for the entire Democratic party's popularity, another for the entire Republican party's popularity, and finally one to represent those who have no strong feelings one way or the other.

TNOnorwayexample.png Not going to boot up TNO, so here's a teaser showing off how Norway will (in just two weeks :D) have 3 Fascisms, and 2 natsocs on its pie chart to represent different tendencies within the National Gathering.
getting replaced by a Congo Crisis IIRC
Not a Congo Crisis, but the Congo Crisis.1773101437469.png I don't remember who fills in for the USSR*, but I know Germany replaces Belgium.

Probably Japan but the toozer came out before I fully lost faith in TNO. Or, to put it simply, years.

[TNO reveals that all the homework they've done for the past year is copy a few irl maps]

Honestly, it's a shame that the TNO Africa shit is what it is, because while I get a lot of people won't care for it, I think African decolonisation is a very interesting point in irl history, and there's room to do some rather interesting stuff with the concept of such a thing happening in a world where Germany won.

For example, you could have Africa be a free-for-all between loads of independence movements - stemming from the fact the only nation that really cares about maintaining their presence there beyond resource extraction being the Italians, and everyone else either can't maintain their hold (France and the UK), doesn't care (the Germans), or is actively trying to kick the Krauts/Italians out (US + Japan).
Or, you know, have the Germans at least take their old colonies as a show of force, seeing as they literally had an organisation for it irl. yes as far as i'm aware it was essentially a rubber stamp group designed to give old imperial bureaucrats something to do, and was dissolved in '43 but it's alternate history ffs
Do things like having Japan throwing their lot in with as many anti-colonial groups as they can across the spectrum - stuff like both Mobutu (yes a real name lol) and Mugabe both working with the Japs, as an extension of what they did with Asian nations in the Sphere both in TNO and irl. which ironically enough I think current TNO already does, as Japan is the one supporting groups like the ayatollah and west african lefties
Have people who were firmly pro-Soviet (or at least anti-US/West) like Nkrumah and Lumumba work with the US to at least try and do something different from irl. (and not have the US dissolve the latter's body in acid lol).
I mean, the South African National Party was top-down stacked with Nazi sympathisers, who were held back by Germany losing, and I don't think that's mentioned once - at least do something like having a proxy war between US-aligned Rhodies lmao at having the Rhodies support the Nazis btw and a Nazi-aligned South Africa. You could even get your grey morality wank on by making the player need to overtly support settler colonialists in order to dislodge German influence in Africa.
Obviously it's not going to be everyone's cup of tea, and many people (including me) are always going to be attached to the old RKs because it's representative of what old TNO was, but at the very least I think there's something to be done with the new setting - and I think if done well it could be cool in it's own way. though it's still not what TNO should be

Again, I think the current TNO setup of 'giant african nazi superstates that can violently collapse into thousands of ethnic conflicts' is certainly more interesting than whatever this new stuff will be, but I don't think it's an irredeamable concept. Shame what it's probably just going to be is 'irl africa but japan does what the soviet union would do - also germany and italy are there'.

If they wanted to break up the German colonies in Africa, they should have done what Kaiserredux does and made a series of puppets to represent sub-districts of the whole colonial apparatus. Turning it into Africa IRL is beyond retarded.

Do we know yet if it's going to be an actual war or another of their planned Denmark GUIs? They were doing one of those for their West African replacement.

I think the biggest downgrade with all of this is how soulless it is. Even if it - against all odds - ends up releasing and is mechanically fine, why would anyone bother with this? The original SAW setting was silly on its face but there's a reason why it captured the imaginations of people ever since Don't Surf: Vietnam War against the SS and Boers in the dark heart of Africa is a very engaging scenario. You have a similar thing in West Africa where it's the last dying gasps of a European colonial power fighting for its very existence against black ethno-nationalists. Both are ideas you can convey to people in a single sentence and get them to want to try it out even if they've never heard of HOI4 before. The replacements? Gray, soulless cold war geopolitical power plays with native strongmen being used as proxies and as a cherry on top it won't even be playable. Who even is this for at this point?

Why on earth is Iberia still around? If you're gonna rework everything at least be consistent and get rid of the one state that has 0 reasons to exist
It was too far along and repeatedly promised as a playable piece of content to be reworked from scratch. Think about it. They'd been reworking it for years by the time the call came that they were undoing the entire premise of the tag. At that point it's easier to just pull something out of your ass to justify Iberia existing and keep everything else in place. Same thing happened with Ukraine. By the time they decided that Germany wasn't allowed to risk any defeats in its rework the demo was nearly complete. Instead of just deleting everything like they did with Moskowien and several other skeletons, they just had Germany nuke the capital if the rebels did too well and then automatically win the war.

If this all sounds stupid to you: yeah no shit you're going to have innumerable problems, inconsistencies and plot holes if you repeatedly rework the key lore of your setting.

I've been experimenting with AI coding tools (Cursor) and you really can use AI to make HoIIV mods. You still need to have a level of knowledge in making the mods yourself, though, because the AI isn't flawless and you do need to guide it. You can't just put in "make hoi4 mod" but rather "fix this error, here's hoi4 modding wiki pages and the vanilla files to reference, make no mistakes" However, it does make your life easier when modding HoI and dropping cash on AI subscriptions will make it not only possible but plausible. TNO could really make use of this.

TrooNO devs are probably on the AI Derangement Syndrome ngl.
Which is retarded since AI can have a purpose beyond generating slop.

I would invite the TNO dev team to stick to OTL as close as possible by making India's content exclusively with AI.

They're next update is going to be made up of at least five new factions with each having three to five paths at least, let them cook.
With all due respect, "let them cook" is what they also say about Last Days.

Half the years, and double the guis; it will be much more accurate.

I've been fixing the cut India content with ai.

Funniest shit is that I know how to design good divisions for TFR yet I can’t design one for base game HOI4 even though it shouldn’t be that hard at all. Proof that TFR is the best mod ever!
Anyway, what are some good division template? Assuming every scenario from minor to major countries. I tried following YouTube but it made me want to kill myself.

What I personally use in 90+% of my runs are ‘brick’ divisions; 12 infantry battalions (later upgraded to motorized/mechanized if I can build the industry) with support artillery and engineer companies, and tank divisions made up of 6 tank and 6 motorized battalions each, with support artillery, engineers, logistics, and maintenance companies.

this is pretty on point, although i would generally stick to 20 widths for infantry divisions and 30 for tanks
you can look into specializing for terrain types, 25 width will fit perfectly into mountain tiles, so you can use 25 widths for mountaineer divisions (8 mountaineer battalions with 3 line artillery battalions will absolutely annihilate enemy lines, no matter the terrain)
i have never found that maintenance companies preserved much equipment, much prefer field hospitals, as it will allow you to save manpower and more importantly, ensures your tank (or other elite) divisions will retain more experience, giving them better stats
you should also put AA support in every division you can (barring certain circumstances where the AI has no air capability), as it provides a significant decrease to enemy air support modifiers and allows your units to move faster even when under enemy air superiority, and shooting down enemy planes is always a good use of your production
you can pick up on some interesting strats just watching the "hoi4 MP in a nutshell" videos, assuming you don't find bokoen1 grating
make sure you are using the correct doctrines too, some provide so little buff that they might as well not exist, while the planning bonuses that you can stack with others will win you almost every battle

From what I'm reading, it's a Denmark GUI. You have to manage logistics, foreign influence in the Congolese/Katangese army, and government legitimacy. It also looks like only America and Germany will be able to intervene, and that the Crisis will be resolved diplomatically so you probably can't even send volunteers. Instead, you will probably be spending 50 pp every other week like all the other NuTNO proxies.
Quality for the pre-integration Debrouillez-Vous teasers is terrible, and since I don't use Reddit I don't know why.
I tried following YouTube
Have you seen any of Segl's videos? His meta guides are usually under 10 minutes. I'll also note that Bokoen plays on a custom multiplayer mod that has separate balancing from vanilla (each major also has its own custom tech tree too)

I saw them, but I just thought that he’s just referring to major nations for multiplayer. I always wondered how to play minors properly in single player and I don’t want to deal with equipment or manpower shortages every time I tried following them.

There is some HOI4 Youtuber drama, FeedBackGaming was accused of allegedly using view bots and responded to the matter poorly. An AI legal assistant was involved in his aforementioned response.
