does the m3u file not work for you guys either? im trying to run it via mpv and it throws 404
if i open the sources in the browser it says Could not retrieve stream: Shutting down since this session is not allowed to view this stream
 
My day 1 thoughts:
Production feels super on top of it. It feels like s3 where they had to actually be on it to not fuck up the ruse. The biggest difference so far is that with the basement cam there's some transparency so when they make a decision it's not some vague announcement on the site and then action. Really hoping they can hold it together for the season. Of course they've realistically done this for ~6 seasons. That's probably about 1/3 of the way to the 10,000 hours of deliberate practice it supposedly takes to master something, they better be showing improvement at this point lol.

Ranking the cast:
Bingo & bongo - the retard twins are my favorite so far, they're so fucking weird. When it cut to the handy can and it was bingo(?) excitedly claiming "LOOK AT ALL THESE DEAD LADY BUGS WHAT THE HECK :D" I lost my shit lol. Them not reading the detective directions properly, initially charging jd $60 but somehow still catching all the thieves was my favorite thing that happened.

Bezo - gay faggot shit stirrer. Him going in on Muhammed and the pedophilies of his prophet, just telling vicki she has a stinks pussy. I didn't like him as a person but he's a great fish

Vicki - just like Rachel, her crashing out to me is hilarious. Super reactive to TTS, overall a nasty person. Every season there's at least one love to hate person and she was unlucky enough to be that person this season. I look forward to more withdrawal drama.

Muhammed - another person I hate, but his obnoxious personality grating on other people is going to be good for content. The dude is a self important douche.

Jd - faggot simp for the junkie, overall unlikable dude. Despite that day one he's stalking shit and being a menace. I think investing in his sto-x right now is a good move of her slowly ramps up his antics and ditches his captain save-a-ho shit

Anissa - I think supposed to be the hot one this season? She was eager to participate, and ditched her baby to be here lol. Another early investment for big payoff.

Landon - goober with a heart of gold. Him saying the best moment of his life was getting his job being a janitor was super endearing. I'm not sure if he has the goblin inside required to be a good fish though. Unsure of how he'll do overall, but he's entertaining just by existing lol

James Dean - send like a normal guy, gets involved in the action. To normal to be a good fish I think.

Charity - seems like every Filipino I know; super chatty and friendly with an overall good nature. Normie of the season. Hopefully she can get off the show unscathed lol

Emma - idk what production says, this "be quite and do nothing to avoid being kicked" shit gets done by at least one contestant every season and it fucking sucks. Somehow an uglier binx. I hope she's the first to go.

Regardless it's day one, everybody has room to grow and I'm excited for the season...

Screw ups have been made and Jet's Balenciaga shit will never not make me seethe in disgust, but I love these wiggers in certain ways and it's been a hell of a ride since S1 and I'm glad I've been along for it 🥹

I agree with most everything but this. The top fish getting to choose who to eliminate has a lot of potential. Let's say Emma for example wins (she has a lot of simps already) while yes she is nontent it will force her to make a decision. That could upset other fish or the audience forcing her to be part of the game.

Every popular streamer ever does address whitelisting for swatters. Basically, this means that if the cops get a credible threat, they don't go in guns blazing unless they observe things on-scene that confirm whatever the caller alleges, in the report from last night's incident it literally says the dispatcher suspected swatting.

This doesn't mean the cops don't show up, and want to poke around to make sure nobody's dead. They probably just sent out a car and wanted to check on benzo and make sure he didn't have a glock shoved down his pants or something, but they also didn't send in the cavalry, which is what they would've done if Jet had done no prior-warning about the nature of the stream.

That being said, fuck swatters and good on jet for cutting the streams whenever they get swatted - these fags want to clip the cops poking around the house for discord tranny tingle-points.

Key word being Credible.

You also have to keep in mind that if swatting were a 100% reliable way to shut down an event (even temporarily) people would be constantly swatting every big streamer non stop. In reality, it doesn’t take long for law enforcement to start recognizing patterns and disregarding repeat nuisance calls.

For example, every season of Fish Tank has had the police show up and interrupt filming once and only once. After that, the police understand what’s going on and treat future calls with skepticism.

The Wiggers could easily get ahead of this, but they never do. They could speak with the local police department beforehand, or even hire an off duty officer for the first few afternoons or evenings. The cop would act as a point of contact for any incoming complaints and help establish a working relationship with law enforcement to prevent any further harassment. It wouldn't be cheap, but neither are their plushies.

Jet and the rest of the crew are a bunch of man children who run things like I'd expect high schoolers, this is the actual problem.

They clearly informed the local cops to be on the lookout for swatting calls to their address. The dispatcher basically said as much in the call last night.

Also, the threat was credible. They said benzo had a gun and was holding someone hostage. The cops are gonna come for that sort of call weather the addy was whitelisted or not, and they didn't just kick the door down(the objective of swatting calls), opting to liaise with the wiggers and confirm no fuckery was afoot instead.

The cops will come for any credible call. Like the one from Alex's hog alleging he was being kept against his will, or the one from Rachel's trolls alleging she was being tied down and waterboarded with milk. imo they are actually handling these faggot callers well and doing the proper due diligence to avoid an actual swatting incident.

and no, you can't just like hire a cop for a 24/7 event the way you can hire one for a Ren Faire or something. no PD is going to waste resources posting up at the 'tard tank - especially in Atlanta where there's loads of actual crime and actual niggers with actual guns.

I think there is a real case that, as quick witted and intimidating as Sam was as a host, he may have been detrimental to the show. Too early to tell, but I'm enjoying this season opener almost as much as famous house.

Low energy Sam was actively detrimental to S4 and it made the failed Famout House 2 bit look even worse. Maybe Fishtank doesn’t really need Sam now that it’s taken on an identity of its own.

I was in the thread yesterday because I got the early drop about him getting doxxed. Bezo’s lore is a bit deeper than just “Minecraft 2b2t griefer and content creator”. My friend group and I got closer to him in 2019-2020 but quickly realized he was retarded and started trolling him. The guy probably has a god complex these days.

I haven’t played since he started the Fifth Column stuff (yes he 100% is the leader and griefed Jobe’s server) or his activity as the Fishtank discord admin so I can’t speak to the more recent stuff it seems he’s gotten himself into.

But I will say, I knew Bezo before he associated being a troll/griefer so hard with his identity. So maybe this can give you all an idea of what you could expect from before he put on that mask.

Very short TLDR on my personal experience with Bezo:

>meet Bezo over discord through mutual friend
>old 2b2t player, YouTuber, deep voice but sounds like a faggot off the bat
>quickly realize Bezo has delusions of grandeur; always wanting to provoke bigger players for clout

>inspect element my discord to look like I have roles in their discord

>I get them to keep psyoping Bezo into thinking I’ve betrayed them and his gay clout group

This may not give you all a sense of what I’m talking about. But my point being, this tough guy troll shit is a complete mask. Don’t be fooled by that or because he’s a fan. Mark my words, the moment he gets put under too much pressure, he’s going to crack and absolutely embarrass himself.

I haven’t watched live much, so maybe I’m wrong, maybe he’s not showing signs of cracking under pressure and I’m just rambling for attention. But I have a good feeling he’s going to have an extraordinary experience on Fishtank.

Thanks for reading about my old Minecraft Drama from when I was a teenager. Happy to give any info I have. I’ll tag along this thread from time to time and add anything I think is relevant.
 
Sam was clearly uber-stressed by the legal issues they had in s3/4. He was checked out by the end of s4, and knew he was out of his depth in the world of livestreaming. This season's a return to form of "fucked up retarded content house" and I love it for that.

ironically hated s4's interpretation of the same concept because they massively fumbled casting, had legal issues, and had everyone expecting some high-concept twist that never came. this time it's just content house, fucking with retards, and laughing at them - and they got a good bunch of retards that toe the line between being entertaining and abrasive.

that was my biggest problem with s4. fred was the only one that wasn't outright abrasive to listen to. the rest of them fucking sucked! i can tolerate raghead hippie man. i can tolerate vicky. i can tolerate the twins. they're all within this realm of "trailer park people" that I don't find as annoying and grating as someone like aryeh who never shuts the fuck up, someone like angie who's entire personality is discord kitten, and dan who was teetering between catatonia and incel rage the entire time.
