Ill be frank; this is covering some petty drama between OCE streamers but it has a lot to do with general Internet use discussion. This story shows how disastrous DMCA abuse can be, especially under certain government such as Australia, New Zealand, the UK, etc.

Before I get into the drama, lets see a tl;dr on why this is important for Internet culture. A streamer made a video about another streamer, which was DMCA struck down. In order to fight this, he had to send his full dox to the other streamer, enabling her to allegedly file a police report to the Australian streamer. Full video on bottom, text gives gist of video.

NessieDoes is a Twitch streamer who plays in Oceanic servers, which are known to be less populated. Him and his friend duo qeueud into an Arc Raiders match, and proceeded to trick another streamer into a trap, killing her. This streamer was known as peaachxo, the lovely lady down below. After being tricked into a trap, she left a comment on his profile.

After which, Nessie came in for a chat. Peaachxo began to accuse him of saying things he didnt say. After this incident, Nessie would, at a later date, run into her again, this time solo. He would yet again pretend to be her friend, and betray her. Once she recognized his username, she made more accusations. Both times she encountered Nessie, she reported him. Later a top community manager. Embark_Ossen was in Peaachxo's chat, and she told him she was being stalked by Nessie. Nessie was banned from Arc Raiders for 30 days. When reaching out, after 5 days to appeal the ban Nessie was contacted by Embark_Ossen and they had a chat:

Effectively, Nessie would have to avoid Peaachxo in the OCE server.

Nessie would also make a video on his youtube addressing the situation and her allegations of him. This was promptly taken copywrite struck down by Peaachxo. In order to fight this video takedown, Nessie had to dox himself, sending his full legal name, address, and more to Peaachxo.

Peaachxo would then go on her twitch to threaten filing a police report on Nessie's newly discovered identity:

To my knowledge, peaachxo has since private her xitter after complaining how difficult it was to be a woman on the Internet and such.

Ha, i saw this earlier today in my algorithm.

If both parties are in Australia, why isn't he suing her metaphorical tits off for reputational and emotional damage, plus calling him meanie words like asshole on the internet.
Maybe we'll get lucky and they get the same judge as a certain mr jobst.

For what it's worth, i can see why he wouldn't want to HOWEVER some cows need to be put in their place and it's abundantly clear that this hog has never faced any consequences for her actions.

This is so petty and retarded that only a stunted woman like peaachxo would do this. Grow up.

She said he was a threat to the people around him because of his behavior... in the video game? :story:

Edit: OH GOD DAMNIT WHY THE FUCK ARE ONE OF THE DEVS IN HER CHAT? SHE'S GOING TO RUIN MY NIGGER-GAME

Lawsuits are expensive and being a big name in one half of a game's community isn't good enough to bring about total lawfare.
Sea of Thieves has a community divided into two halves: The squeaky-clean, developer-endorsed side of the community that dabbles in PvP on occasion and primarily just streams themselves doing the abysmally boring PvE events, and the half that does PvP. SoT is like ARC Raiders in that it's a PvPvE game, and many players on the developer-endorsed side don't like this fact, despite it literally being named Sea of Thieves. Nessie is part of the PvP half, a group wrought in controversy since Theb(The guy who uploaded that video and IRL pal of Nessie) got targeted by SoT's developers in a similar instance: Theb had his accounts repeatedly tracked and banned by a community manager, who went so far as to issue a DMCA claim on several of Theb's videos, which temporarily terminated his channel. Nessie has remained part of the PvP side and has received limited recognition from the developers in a sort of adopted redhead step-child way, with as little recognition as possible for his actions such as organizing events for the Oceania region of SoT. To put it simply, Nessie is a big fish in a lagoon next to the ocean. He sure as shit isn't rich enough to fund the incredibly long litigious battle that would transpire from simple words.
And that's really only scratching the surface: Sea of Thieves is only just now in its eighth year of service going through sunsetting by constantly FOMO baiting and gouging players, and there's a growing resentment towards the developers as a result.
