MAP/NOMAP community - "Virtuous Pedophiles" has a prodigy

I've done some digging into a website called MAP Union. This site has been mentioned here before, but I think a more detailed post is warranted, since this "community" is truly horrific.

Forum​

MAP Union is actually a larger network of several sites. There is a forum, wiki, blog, etc. I will go over the forum first.

This is of course a pro-pedophile forum. They describe [A] themselves as a "support forum for MAPs":


According to the rules [A], minors are allowed on the site:



There are multiple posts from users who explicitly state that they are children:

Other members are trying to convince them that they are "adult-attracted minors" and that this is normal:

A topic [A] was made on whether sexually abusing infants was acceptable. Note the signature in the first post below, which states that the author is attracted to 2 year olds "but can go younger":

I should note that these are just some random posts I found on the public-facing boards. Apparently there are also private areas of the forum that require an account and are probably even worse (if that is possible).

This forum is part of a wider network of sites called MAP Union [A] (abbreviated as Mu):


Mu is run [A] by two people: Brian Ribbon (AKA BLueRibbon) and Jim Burton (AKA Newgon). I am unsure if these are their real names or if they are aliases:


The group actually received some media coverage after they tried to set up a camp for pedophiles near a school in Vermont. The state police were called and the camp never went ahead:

Brian later issued a statement [A] saying the group was under attack by "cyberbullies" and that the outraged comments about the camp were "hate speech":

The MAP Union site was previously mentioned in the Pediverse thread by @notorietus. The founder of the site, known as "Fragment", was said to be a convicted pedophile who molested two 13-year-old boys:

I believe Fragment is another alias used by Brian. Brian mentions on his personal website [A] that he is a former teacher who now lives in Asia (Fragment is also said to be an ex-teacher living in Japan):


On his website [A], Brian says he has published his own "MAP manifesto":


In this manifesto [A], he claims that sex with children is not abusive, CSAM does not harm anyone, and pedophiles should not seek help:




He also provides [A] instructions for encrypting hard drives and avoiding police detection. He of course tries to suggest that this is entirely innocent and has nothing to do with helping conceal criminal behavior:


Even more shockingly, Brian posted an interview [A] with someone claiming to be the admin of multiple dark net CSAM websites. The admin says that these sites have "strong ethical guidelines" that only allow images where the abuse of the child was "reasonable" (WTF?):



He left this note for the police saying that he would not assist them in identifying the administrator:


And to wrap this all up, Brian Ribbon is still a teacher. According to this post [A], he teaches 6th grade children in Asia:
