Interesting that this source mentions the WSO was provided shelter by locals until he could be saved by the PJs. It's believable at the very least, he'd probably have been captured by now if said Iranian civvies had turned him in or even just abandoned him to the Basij headhunters searching for him in those mountains. And I'm sure he can confirm or deny the details in the inevitable debriefing, movie, TV/podcast interview circuit, etc.

But if true it's another big fucking log straight into the eyes of the retards claiming this war was going to turn the common Iranians, no matter whether they were on the fence or even anti-Islamist beforehand, into frothing at the mouth Islamists. Those civvies could've easily turned him - a guy who had been bombing their country when he got shot down, no less - in, whether out of Islamic fanaticism or just for the reward money, which is nothing to sneeze at in an economically depressed shithole like present-day Iran; and they'd also be avoiding taking a huge risk if they had done that, since they're now 1000% going to get executed for treason, apostasy, etc. if the Islamists ever find out who they are. But still they chose to help him and in so doing, spite those Islamists instead.

Whatever happens next, I hope those particular civilians survive, hell I hope they get to meet the WSO they saved again later when things calm down (ideally both on American & free Iranian soil) and if Pahlavi gets the Sun Throne back, he better promote them into the new Iranian nobility.
 
I don't know if Iran believes Trump isn't bluffing about the 48-hour deadline this time and are just trying to get ahead of it, or if they're just being their usual retarded ape-nigger selves, but they're pretty much burning through all their "If you hit us, we're gonna hit Gulf power infrastructure!" threats right now.

Makes me wonder how much intel/info the WSO got from the locals while he was being sheltered from the IRGC and if it will be enough when he debriefs the upper brass, especially If they were willing to risk their lives for him (and if one of you who did it happen to be a fellow kiwi reading this risking your life, Semper Fi, hero) and having allies in the region is a win.
