Not only that, but then Trump would also be a martyr and nobody would ever shut up about him forever. Martyrs can't be silenced. Everything he stood for would've been fought for even harder than ever. Nobody seems capable of thinking five minutes into the future anymore.

A 500k sub youtuber faggot called Valhalla VFT made a conspiracy video explaining that he Trump tried to stage his own assassination attempt just to gain support for his BALL ROOM :story:.

I was coming here to say this. It's really sobering. Fucking freaky. These people literally told me as recently as last year that conspiracy theories were inherently a reactionary, right-wing approach to looking at the world.

I know only a few reasonable liberals who haven't gone all in on "this was staged, Kirk's assassination was staged, the Butler PA assassination attempt was staged..." Some of the ones who've gone to the conspiracy side and now think no one would ever actually try to hurt Donald Trump are people who have been talking for years about how it'd sure be great if we had some more political violence against the people they disagree with.
