He confessed as much, but he crowed that he got the same degree as everyone else while having fun in uni. When he talked about law school, he said he was never chasing contended internships or high-power law firm positions because, 'I had a family and needed to get to work!'

I believe the implication was that the same degree (at least in law) offers similar opportunities for most people--patently false.

A real practicing lawyer would know this is completely irrelevant. Signing a search warrant is not a substantive part of the proceeding.

He would have to show not only bias but that the bias caused her to grant a warrant in the absence of probable cause. The fact is there is not a judge on the planet who would not have granted a warrant given the overwhelmingly obvious probable cause.

Even in that case, it would neither be necessary nor sufficient to prove bias. The simple absence of probable cause leading to an improvidently granted warrant would be the substantive issue. It would only really be relevant in the context of an ethics proceeding of some sort, and Nick hasn't brought one, because he's completely full of shit.

It would possibly have been appropriate to have recused herself once the case hit substantive issues, some time after the arraignment/preliminary hearing phase. It's a moot issue since he used his statutory "free" DQ to get rid of her anyway.

He has claimed to be Order of the Coif (which incidentally I am from a better school) which is top 10% of the class in most cases, but there are miles of difference between top 10% at a fifth tier toilet and, say, Harvard or even a middle of the road top 50.

Of course, he's a lying liar who lies, but at least at the outset of his career he was routinely able to get the basics right.

I know that the reports from people at the church etc. are far more important for establishing probable cause but it's funnier to pretend that the "Anime sucks.... cope and sneed" segment was the entirety of the evidence for probable cause and they got the search warrant signed first thing that morning.

The problem with Nick bringing a defamation case against Ralph based on an accusation that Nick had sex with Scarlett is that Nick does not have a good reputation or a reputation for fidelity within his marriage. I mean a poly swinger going to court claiming that he was damaged by an accusation that he was not faithful to his wife during his marriage just isn't going to work.

It would be a situation just made for an anti-SLAPP motion.

He may have claimed it, but I am pressing exceptionally hard to doubt. Doesn't mention it in his linkedin, either. And his degree has no laude references, either, no PBK or other honor societies, nothing.

That's not to say I doubt he claimed it - I would not be surprised in the least. I just don't believe it, plus even if true, that's the least he should have done at his school, which is oriented toward people with very very different means and backgrounds than Nick Rekieta had coming out of high school/ through college.

As gor getting the basics right, well, BARBRI is a useful distiller of information, and he did pass the bar. But do you think he even knows what hornbook law refers to?

If the people who claim to be local sources are even half right Nick maybe be close to deformation proof in his local community after his arrest. The fact that everyone actually relevant to his e-reputation (except for Aye-Aye-Ron and Father-Gymathy) he has ever threatened would be federally diverse from him and not vulnerable to Minnesota corruption in a plaintiffs suit may explain why he has kept a lid on his legal-cuck-rage.

I'm not sure Nick understands civil procedure like that, thought.
