I had a hard time figuring out who he was responding to as well. However, I assumed (since none of the visible names sound remotely hispanic to me) that he was responding to the comment that got cut off at the top. We don't see the hombre's name.

Russ was just one of many attacking a guy named Felipe who commented that he'd vote Manson over Trump in 2020.

Ah, man. I discovered Russ over a year ago via reddit, and have been following him intently since. Strangely enough, the Russell of a year ago seems almost sane compared to this festering pile of insanity. It just keeps getting better. I think it's going to climax into something bad: Best case, he gets arrested for sexual harassment; worst case, he hurts people. As people have pointed out, he has nothing to lose.

Legit question: I don't know how policing in the US works exactly, but if someone were to send screenshots of his ravings to the police, can't they at least monitor him?

They could, but they won't unless someone local files an official complaint and they think he's a credible threat. He's really not dangerous to anyone outside the SLC metro area. He can't drive, and he won't fly, even if he could afford a ticket, and he thinks he's better than everyone else so I can't imagine he'd slum by taking a bus.

Unless he's explicitly posting about hurting himself or others, I don't think there's anything that anyone who isn't family or a RL friend can do beyond that. Even if his family or friends got the police involved, they ultimately will determine whether it's something they even want to bother with. Again, unless he's actually threatening to carry out some harmful act, the family will most likely be told it's a family issue.

Personally, I'm not about trying to send armed persons handle a possibly emotionally disturbed individual. Especially if they're just acting out in their own bubble.

No, all he’s done is be an ass online. Not a crime, thankfully for us.

Local cops are not there to catch crimes before they happen. They are there to respond to crimes in progress or investigate ones already committed.

Somebody in fear of Russ could get a restraining order, which makes him legally stay away from them or then he can be arrested. But it’s debatable how well they work.

The FBI would take threats to national security seriously (stuff like gun running, drugs, kidnappings) but even then they are investigative, not preventative

Russ may be a threat, but to whom? Taylor Swift? She has her own security. A hooker? Hopefully, she does too. And he may not be a threat and just be a wimp like he behaved on his last date (debatable what’s true). There are no agencies that have time to monitor the doings of one crazy soul in one town in the USA when there are hundreds of thousands of them out there. And it would be a violation of our rights to be monitored without reason.

Oh, man, I finally had a chance to sit down and go through this masterpiece. I agree with everyone who says it's a great look into the inner thoughts of someone with a gnarly case of NPD, and there's a whoooole lot of discussion that could be had there, but my absolute favorite part of this shitshow?

It has to be the fact that he didn't even bother cropping his "evidence" photos, and just has the full phone screencap on each page. It shows it's legitimate evidence, right guys?

I honestly don't think he didn't crop them to give the images more legitimacy. He's just lazy and his deluded ass doesn't think anything he does might be seen as lazy or unprofessional. He's the best ever, of course!

Most definitely. It's also not because he just doesn't know how, of course. (honestly, I give it 50/50 for laziness or ignorance mixed with just not giving a fuck).

I really need to watch Minority Report again.

As others have alluded to, I don't think much can be done. Unless he either begins to realise his craziness and settles down or he goes off his banana and his family intervenes.

But what could they even do? He's an adult. It would have to be something pretty extreme for him to be placed on an involuntary hold.
