They denounce in Cuba a rapist and murderer of dogs

A note originally published by the group Cuba Against Animal Mistreatment and reproduced later by the CEDA platform (Cubans in Defense of Animals) has denounced the atrocious zoosadist practices of the Cuban Rubén Marrero Pernas (29 years old).

The testimony points to Marrero Pernas as a zoosadistx who has filmed and photographed himself repeatedly torturing, sodomizing and killing dogs.

These are images he would have shared in a digital forum of zoophiles called Beast Forum, in which he has published "detailed accounts of sexual encounters he has had with animals, including animals that do not belong to him and corpses of animals," the activists point out.

"He not only rapes, mutilates and kills them, but he posts what he does in photos and videos that were sent to us by protective friends from abroad, today we only publish his photo so everyone knows his face, and one of the terrible photos of the unhappy puppy who raped, mutilated and killed ", adds the complaint.

Among the most striking was his exchange with another subject, Levi Dane Simmons ( SnakeThing ), who has already been arrested in the State of Oregon (United States), for similar practices.

The CEDA platform has highlighted that Marrero had adopted a puppy in early April of this year and describes what was the fate of the poor animal.

"This individual, after being offered for adoption, tortured, mutilated, raped and killed days later in a way that it is hard to believe that a human being can do it, CEDA has graphic evidence that this information is true," note.

A worker until recently of the Scientific Pole of Havana, he was expelled from his workplace after spreading, in the last hours, his horrible behavior.

The Center for Neurosciences of Cuba has published on its Facebook page that, after verifying the complaint received from CEDA, Marrero has been dismissed, and the note adds that the institution has provided information "to the competent bodies for further action as appropriate "

"We found an individual who was apparently a good worker, a normal person, who could not imagine anything could commit these atrocious acts, and it turned out that it was the opposite," said the director of the aforementioned Center.

The article published by the group Cuba Contra el Maltrato highlights that Ruben Marrero Pernas "is sick but he is NOT crazy", he defines him as "a high-level psychopath, who can distinguish between good and evil, and chooses to harm".

"In a while it will not be enough to rape, maim and kill dogs, the threshold will rise and you will need more, as forensic psychology has shown, this man will kill a human in time if he does not put a brake on it. unhappy animals! We need a law that allows to arrest this man for similar barbarities! ", concludes the note, which reiterates the need for an animal protection law in Cuba , which lacks both the old Constitution and the new constitutional project underway .

Animal rights activists and civilians of Cuba are outraged. The group involved in the protest and poster campaign plan to continue to fight and campaign every Saturday against this and animal rights in Cuba in general. I don't foresee him being let of lightly at trial, however, if that happens to be the case, it's a bittersweet condolence knowing that he is completely ostracised and hated by his community. Each and every post mentioning him is met by anger, hatred and death threats.

People on Facebook have spoken about knowing him personally, I would not be surprised if some of these people know who the friend involved may be, here's hoping he'll get the same treatment.

HAVANA TIMES – Animal protection activists and defenders came together on Saturday Jan. 19th, in San Miguel del Padron on the outskirts of Havana, to protest against zoosadism.

The Supporting and Moving Stray Animals group organized a free parasite treatment campaign in a park in the Monterrey neighborhood.

Over 20 people came to help catch stray animals, put up posters, vaccinate or give treatment baths to those animals in need, as well as to talk to neighbors about animal abuse and raise awareness among the population.

Local authorities approached us to find out what was going on and the vice-president of the municipal government ordered that this activity be suspended immediately because we didn’t have authorization. The campaign was originally intended to last three weeks.

Authorization must be directly sought with the government body and not with the Ministry of Public Health, even though the latter has a Hygiene and Epidemiology Department with clearly defined duties such as administering rabies vaccines and tackling contagious diseases.

The park used for this campaign was chosen because of its proximity to the home of Ruben Marrero Pernas, the zoosadist who was discovered months ago and removed from the Cuban Neuroscience Center where he worked.

After being reported, he was arrested and taken away from his dogs, who he tortured and raped. However, in spite of documentary evidence published online, Marrero Pernas was released, and neighbors claim that he is still in contact with other dogs.

Activists have been demanding an Animal Protection Act here in Cuba for many years now. In 1988, Aniplant (the only legal protection organization in Cuba) proposed a draft bill, which it has done on three repeated occasions, and it has never received the answer they long for.

More and more independent groups are springing up who are pressing for this Act and they are collecting signatures to present them to Parliament.

In the recent neighborhood discussion about the new draft Constitution, many voices were raised in favor of an article being included that explicitly records that the State recognizes animals as beings who feel and consider any abuse against them to be a criminal act. These opinions were disregarded.

The dedication of these people is truly honorable, fighting for animals and justice in a country that hasn't fully opened their eyes. They act as an example of how atrocious situations such as these can be brought to light, and how justice can be reached. The people involved deserve commendation.

There was a deadly tornado in Havana, the area that Pernas' lives on Sunday, with close to 200 people injured and at least three dead, I suspect this will understandably slow things down.

It is impressive to see this reaching a wider audience in Cuba, there is a large percentage of Cuban citizens without access to the internet that would otherwise be unaware. It gives hope for the outcome of both his trial and the proposed constitution. I hope he is aware of this and is living in constant fear in his own home, it is the very, very least he deserves.

Are there any updates regarding this case, whether it be about Ruben being sighted in Cuba or about the work regarding the animal right’s activists in Cuba? I have not stopped thinking about this since Woof was released, haunted knowing that he likely has returned to his old ways now that he has more free time from being fired. I doubt anyone in Cuba will hire him after his face is being publicized all over the area and such. Levi got his taste of karma, I really hope Ruben does too.

I've heard other people say that (including in this thread) but it's just a rumor as far as I can tell, and may be one spread by Woof himself to try to shake the vigilantes after him.

I've seen nothing remotely like a reliable source saying it for a fact.

Does Jewsh know that police found a graveyard of dogs in his grandparent's house, and that he had taken other dogs with him, after his "apology"? "I won't do it again" my ass, he only was sorry he got caught, willing to say anything about how wrong it was, despite obviously not believing that himself; he knew it was just wrong in society's eyes. In other words, he only said what he thought might get the heat of off him. Dunno why giving him the benefit of doubt, or benefit of anything. Even if he were dead it wouldn't make his "apology" not deserving of mockery, when he was a pathetic liar until the very end.

Where did this rumor originate, anyways? Mighty optimistic thinking, there. It is possible, because he lives in the free for all shithole Cuba after a natural disaster hit his area. Someone might’ve recognized him from the fliers and delivered sweet, sweet street justice to him but there’s no evidence I know of to back the rumor up.
