I think he more resented her for having that second X chromosome, thus a fully functioning female habitus. Whereas Kevin needed to undergo the brutal mutilation of his genitals, and must inject cross-sex hormones for the remainder of his sad life, in order to warp his body into just a mockery of the female form. I wouldn't even say he's gay or straight, in my opinion, but an autogynephile, which is an orientation in itself.

Not to derail too much, but yes, one of the side effects of any estrogen pill is weight gain. Applies to birth control, too.

This is also why, on the flip side, trans men tend to lose their "women fat" and such. Testosterone ramps up the metabolism a bit.

Something that Kevin could have benefited from, but it looks like even pre-troon, he was a low T sod.

Hearsay, so take it with a grain of salt, but I have seen a reddit post from a former mtf whose dysphoria and depression was nearly totally relieved by getting on testosterone supplements. Unfortunately it was black market testosterone being injected into him by his dad, so not the best case study, but I wonder how many current trans people would've been better served by a small hormone boost?
 
I’d have to imagine a lot, your endocrine system and vitamins levels play a pretty major role in your general mood level. Im sure there’s probably millions of people, trannies or not, that could be helped by a hormonal blood panel (idfk what they call it, power level: not a fuckin doctor) and a short stint of hormone or vitamins supplement. But it seems like it’s easier for most providers to chuck someone over to a psychiatrist that they’ll see 4 times a year.

The problem is that most troons are AGPs who don't actually have dysphoria, despite their claims to the contrary, and have no interest in giving up the kink that forms the whole of their identities and personalities.
