Josh goes back a loooong way with RLM.
I've seen RLM's Feeding Frenzy from 2006 and he was in that.
I think he's a technical guy from the same film school that Mike and Jay went to. He does a lot of stuff behind the camera.
I don't mind him but I know that a lot of people do.
I'm just glad that the screaming girl isn't on camera anymore.
I had to mess around with the volume every time she was in an RLM video.

- He played the Bar patron in Space Cop (see previous point) and RLM will only allow people to be guests on their show if they worked on their films (Jim and Colin from Canada, Freddie E. Williams II, Gillian Bellinger) or they were moderately successful (Patton Oswalt, Macaulay Culkin, Max Landis).
- He tries to flaunt a knowledge of movie trivia to trick the audience into thinking that he is "on the same level" as Jay.
- He's the only person at RLM who Jay can do Re:Views with for weird films he wants to review.

I don't know why people hate Josh so much when Jack is right there. Josh is just another beardy feminist soy-infused sex pest, those guys are everywhere, but Jack is annoying and unpleasant in a unique and inescapable way.
Personally I barely notice Josh, I just tune him out like the sound of the engine in my car. But Aids Moby can't be ignored that way. He's too fucking infuriating and unfunny.

Jack Packard is indeed an insufferable bugman. That he is an ardent defender of m'lady Moviebob, of all people, should give you pause.
I'm not a great fan of RLM, so I'm not into the loop very much, but I (thankfully) see little to nothing of Packard whenever I pull one of their videos up. Is this a correct observation, and if so, is there anything in particular to be said about why this is?

These days Jack is doing vidya stuff with the escapist (which is where he met MovieBlob, presumably) so he doesn't appear in RLM so much any more. They've added a couple of new guys to the crew - the guy with the moustache (can't remember his name) is pretty funny in a bitter, drunk way.

Jack at least seems like a guy I can sit around and talk about growing up on farms watching Supergirl. Josh comes off like any attempt at a conversation would soon be haulted by a really cringe political take.

Jack definitely has that 2009 soyface "lol the cake is a lie!" "my awkwardness is funny comedy!" aesthetic, but he can sometimes work as a goofy wholesome straight man to the others. He even makes a solid joke every now and again despite the fact that he's turning to the soy lolcow side thanks to his new job alongside movieblob.
Josh actively murders comedy and tries to turn any episode he's on into Inside The Actor's Studio Starring Josh And Nobody Else. He's tolerable on Re:View because that's a less funny, more serious series, but he's pretty solid AIDS no matter what.

Because in re:View he actually can have good insight and points without his low social intelligence leading him to miss when it's time for funny and not seriously discussing a shlocky b movie.
