The Tenacious Unicorn Ranch / @TenaciousRanch / Steampunk Penny / Penellope Logue / Phillip Matthew Logue - Don't cry because it ended, laugh because it's still getting worse.
The ATF often gets involved in things they shouldn't. I seriously doubt they will in this case, but look at the sheer stupidity that occurred when they decided a guy named David Koresh was in their bailiwick.
Can the state request their involvement? I know state law enforcement can request FBI assistance in some cases, but I have zero clue about the state requesting ATF "assistance."
It might just be the animal neglect that leads to their eventual downfall. Luka Magnotta was caught because he was being tracked down by a group of people on the internet for posting videos of him killing kittens. Animal lovers are a tenacious bunch.

The magazine laws in CO are pretty much dead from what I understand, for two reasons.
1) Magazines with over 15 rounds owned prior to 2013 are legal to own, though you can't sell them, and the burden of proof is on the state to prove you didn't own it prior to 2013, which is kind of hard to do.
2) The law only applies to the sale of "large capacity magazines" not the manufacture of them, and guess what are commonly sold in CO? magazine parts kits.

Magazine laws in general are unlikely to hold up to constitutional scrutiny in the wake of cases like Duncan v. Becerra. Here is one of these dilemmas again. Support the Second Amendment? Even if it protects troons too? I suppose I have to side with the Second Amendment here.

PETA literally laying siege to their troontress and law enforcement having to watch helplessly as screaming lunatics on either side of the conflict waged war would be by far the most epic ending to this story possible.

I know close to nothing about guns and my lefty friends are dumb as hell about guns. They literally think owning a gun = intent to commit violence. Even if you use them for hunting or have a modest handgun for emergency self-defense.
Say what you want about the reddit 'boogalo boys' but all of them I've seen limit their larps to public protests and gun ranges. These speds set up a small ranch complete with suffering animals, so they could pose for twitter likes.
I would be uncomfortable with these people as neighbors to say the least.

When I smelled like bacon, a federal prosecutor came to our district station and told us that since the circuit attorney liked to drop charges for racial/political reasons, we were more than welcome to bring him all of our felony drug and gun arrests and he'd take them to federal court. The problem here, besides what's already been said about the difficulty in prosecuting this magazine law, is that most conservative counties in blue or purple states are self-declared 2nd Ammendment sanctuary counties and won't make the arrest on principle.
If they're going to get nailed by the law, it'll be for the treatment of their animals or threatening the neighbors.
Assuming you aren't just trolling, a "magazine law" is a law prohibiting magazines which contain more than a certain number of bullets for some, or conceivably all firearms. A "magazine" is quite simply a storage device for a firearm that contains ammunition, usually bullets, whether it's internal to the firearm itself or external.
There is a questionable line of reasoning that somehow, high-capacity magazines (often external) create some sort of unique hazard. California thought so, and their ridiculous law was BTFO by a Ninth Circuit decision.
There won't be a Waco because Waco was dozens of people who were involved with procuring and selling weapons at gun shows to get money for their commune and also doomsday rhetoric which really don't go together. There won't be a Ruby Ridge because that was an fbi gayop from the start to get the guy to sell a few sawn off shotguns.
The troons are doing this just to get gibs from dumbass twittertards and its working brilliantly frankly. They won't be investigated by the fbi even if someone does get shot, it'll just make the rounds in places like kiwifarms that it happened and the local law enforcement will deal with it.
Inspired by @Randall Fragg 's suggestion that someone do a write up of ranch denizens. Also posted in the Kev thread because all of the info is from there.
I gift you this information in the form of Tenacious Unicorn Ranch limited edition trading cards. I hope you both love and hate them, and find them informative in a neurodivergent-friendly manner. Do please tell me if I've fucked anything up or missed something good!
House Niggas / Permanent Members
The ranch has 2 bedrooms, presumably split along the following lines of who's in a stated relationship.
The polycule:
The couple:
Team Trailers / Temporary Members
The ranch had an influx of people between July-September 2020. We aren't sure who remains, with the exception of Josie. We do know one or more people left on bad terms in December 2020 (@Cerabella ).
There are two sources on ranchers, aside from ranchers' own tweets:
- The September 2020 Rocky Mountain Rocky Mountain PBS clip shows Josie was in residence by then.
- The January 2021 High Country News article shows Daisy and Justine[sic]. However, the article only confirms ranch residents as recently as November 2020, which is when the visit for the article was made, so no help with who left in December.
It seems Team Trailers is 1-3 people, listed in order of likelihood.
Confirmed residents (Daisy amended, confirmed by @Prolego ):

TBH what the fuck did they think was gonna happen when they went to live on a fucking ranch commune aside from work their ass off all day doing menial labor.
It's pure fucking dumbassery even to end up in this situation. Why would anyone sell a sawed-off shotgun? Just sell them an actual shotgun, and point out it would be completely illegal, but yanno, I've heard some people, criminals, yanno, will sometimes saw off the barrel right here. Now you'd best not do that, because it would be illegal, but bad people do that sometimes.

Well, you or me would know that before signing up. The people that actually volunteer for this shit? They literally think that if the "retards" in Middle America can figure it out, so can they. Then when their tiny soystick arms snap off and they cry on social media, people like you and me get a free comedy show.

NGL, I used to think there was a small minority of criminals that were actually pretty smart. But it's stupid all the way down. All the smart ones got into public office.
