I'm personally inclined to believe she isn't attention whoring and lying about this since around the same exact time in 2018, her art style in videos started degrading and degenerating. Going from a generic yet still good looking YouTube animator style such as the Odd1stOut to more blocky, less detailed and uglier animation style in her videos. Personally reminds me of this story regarding an artist who developed Alzheimer's Disease which destroys the brain and just like with her, the art style slowly started going down hill in quality.
