Chris gets to decide what's in his own best interest, including going to trial. If there is a complete breakdown in attorney client relationship (which is more than just being uncooperative) defense may asked to be removed.

His current attorney is providing services through a contract with the state. He is effectively a public defender for Chris already.

Depends on the type of trial but generally a felony trial would be open to the public. That being said, there is a 95% chance that it gets plead out.

I don't care if you believe me, but I called. I asked the clerk on the update on a defendant, and she immediately said Christine Chandler. She told me it was moving to a grand jury. I doubt she would say that to throw people off, but it's true.

Given the tone of the jail letters, where he seemed to have been told he'd be going home, I'm inclined to believe that Chris refused to take the juicy carrot of a plea deal and this is the Commonwealth using the stick.

It would not surprise me if it could be. All jail phones and mailboxes have big ass signs saying (or recordings, or some type of notification) stating that mail is monitored for security reasons. Jail letters and phone calls have been used as evidence before.

Isn't the alleged grand jury thing all because he refused plea bargain(s) to begin with? Why would he plead out now, I don't think he realizes what mess he's in and he's just too busy fighting to have his cpu/blueheart/goddess pronouns recognized
