Chris asserts that, because the GM of the radio station authorized the resale of copyrighted music, that his sales of Bob's Jazz Marathon containing the works in question are not unauthorized.

I think it be noted here that the very things he's saying aren't illegal are no longer on sale via ebay. Meaning Ebay has removed them because they feel this sale violates one or more of their policies. It's like Chris thinks that the only thing that determines if something goes on Ebay is if it's illegal or not. No, not even if it's illegal or not; Chris thinks it should be allowed because he thinks it should be allowed. 10 bucks says he didn't even get in contact with anyone and get their ok to sell this.

The fact of the matter is he is selling copyrighted music without the consent of the copyright holders. He's selling a compilation of several copyrighted songs without consent and is not paying royalties to the owners of said music. He simply cannot grasp that many of the things he is doing is wrong.

This is why Chris needs a responsible handler to make sure he doesn't do stupid or illegal things. He barely has the mental capacity to function, let alone make business dealings. Barb is feeble and does not have the energy or faculties to care for Chris and keep him out of trouble.

Yeah, regardless of what the copyright situation actually is, ebay will have the final word on what they allow on their site, copyright violation or no. And they will almost definitely play it on the safe side.
Chris has associates?
Rocky might qualify.

Well, that's what he's trying to do, but I am unsure if he will be violating copyright if he doesn't actually make any sales.

It's possible that the necessary ASCAP fees have already been paid as part of the radio station's original license to use the copyrighted material, or possibly they are being taken out of the "donation" to WTJU. Not that Chris would understand any of this, or even be able to articulately explain it if he did.

That being said, it's highly unlikely he has any legal right to distribute these copyrighted works, but he ain't distributing anything until someone is foolish enough to buy them from him.

Absolutely Chris needs a handler, but for many much more serious reasons than keeping him from violating copyright.

Chris thinks it should be allowed because he thinks it should be allowed.
Story of his life. Chris' biggest issue has never really been him doing things that are wrong, it's the fact that when he does something wrong he absolutely cannot take a telling and the ensuing drama just snowballs from there.

I believe that's why he's received so many bans from local establishments, he probably wasn't banned for the initial infraction, but was banned for the tard raging that followed when he was told not to do something.
