Before I post the details of this listing, I want to give a timeline of events for everyone not keeping up.
  • June 1st, Chris surprises everyone by listing the first ever Sonichu drawing for sale on eBay with a starting bid of $20 and a Buy It Now price of $100 USD.
  • Trolls discover the auction and quickly bid it up to $13,000.
  • The auction is taken down for unknown reasons.
  • The auction is relisted on June 2nd with additional details and a new picture. This time the starting bid is $100. It is quickly bid up to $15,000.
  • After posting a link to a Facebook update on June 3rd, the auction is removed by eBay officials.
  • Chris relists the drawing for a 3rd time at a starting bid of $500. Predictably, it's bid up well over $10,000 again.
  • Presumably after failing to establish an agreement with the highest bidder, the auction is taken down for a 3rd time that night.
Likely frustrated and confused, Chris has decided to close down the silly auction business and relisted his full-color Sonichu and Rosechu doodle at what he considers a reasonable price. This is where we're at now.

As of posting, the 4th auction has been listed here at $5,000 Buy it Now, no haggle.

Over time he's been adding more and more details to the eBay auction, which is now at this huge wall of text.
eBay Description said:

Immediate Payment via PayPal of the final full offered amount WILL be required should I accept the highest available and valid offer in the event AFTER the auction's end and the highest bidder(s) fail to pay up or be fake. Everyone involved, including ALL Bidders, are bound by eBay's Terms and Regulations as stated therein, link below at bottom of this web page.

I reserve the right to Block any and ALL users/bidders who send me hurtful or hatered-filled messages, or if suspected as an Internet Troll with reason. Bidders with ZERO or Less than TEN Positive Feedback will also fall under the suspicious category and may be considered for Blocking as well.

Discretion (As stated in the Comic Page image freshly added to the listing with few updates):
ALL Sonichu, Rosechu, Cwcville and such material is Copyrighted March, 2000 by Christian Weston Chandler, with Full Paperwork backed up in Washington DC. Any names, persons or characters and such illustrated in the past Original Comic Book Pages, LittleBiGPlanet 1, 2, PSP and Vita Levels under the PSN ID of "Sonichu", and all direct content from the Creator, Christian Weston Chandler, NOT originating from said Creator that may seem similar to anyone past or present, as well as under other respective ownerships, are purely coincidental or otherwise parodic. Ownership of Original characters of Pikachu, Pok'emon and Sonic the Hedgehog are those of Nintendo and SEGA of America respectively. The drawing that is being sold on eBay now is an Original artwork created by the original Creator of Christian Weston Chandler, and is solely being sold as an artwork with no original intent of profit.
Thank you very much for such strong interest in my artwork that my Heart and Soul have gone into putting together with great care and long thought.

I can only imagine that it's finally dawned on him that as long as people are allowed to bid, that system's just going to be abused so he clearly thinks that by only giving people one option they have no choice but to hand over $5000. Of course there's a second option, and that's to give him nothing. It would also appear that he's laminated and framed it, so this whole mess has actually put him out of pocket.

Once again, Chris turns a situation that can slightly benefit him into a farce due to his staggeringly idiotic expectations.

Oh, Chris you will never cease to amaze me. Chris is almost like a cartoon character, but in the real world. Imagine a cartoon character suddenly dropped in the middle of our world and expected everything to work out like it does in a cartoon. Now some toons may eventually learn their lesson, but not Chris.

He keeps expecting everything to work out like it does in cartoons.

It is pretty damn disturbing.

Y'know, I think Chris' drawing skills have slightly got better over the years, but I wouldn't go so far as to say that they have outright improved.
It's like when a child that can only draw stickmen draws a slightly malformed human, it's better but not an improvement.

I felt more sorry for Chris until reading Null's timeline above. Now I know he listed his stupid drawing as a "Buy It Now" for $100, before the trolls starting fucking with the auction.

I would also like to inform that this BIN requires Pay it Now. I went into my eBay account and verified it, BIN is also Pay now, so there really is no chance for anyone to back out by placing a bid or offer. When a BIN is also a Pay Now, you are taken to the payment screen immediately after clicking Buy it Now. NO HAGGLE.

So the bidding ends on June 12. Is it me, or does a lot of things have to happen on June 12 this year? June 12 is Russia Day, The Philippines' Independence Day, and also the opening day of the World Cup this year. And now, as far as I know, its the final day of bidding for OPL's "original" Sonichu and Rosechu artwork.

Chris has answered an FAQ.

Q: Was wondering if you'd be doing smaller prints for less $$$, would love to commission something fairly small and pay for it, but $1,000 is way too high.
A: Well, with eBay constantly removing my listing for this SAME, SINGULAR ARTWORK Four Times the past week, and the offer-maker who offered 1,000 on the last listing Totally Bailed! I am super frustrated and I am just SET on one thousand or bust on this SAME drawing what my venture with it having been Really Too Much. And my mother and I REALLY NEED THE MONEY. Please Buy and Pay in Full Now!

When an item proves difficult to sell, most people will accept a lower offer just to be able to sell the item at all. It's a pretty good look into Chris' mind that he not only feels entitled to a higher sell price because of his frustrations, but that he will stubbornly price himself out of any chance to actually profit at all. Rinse and repeat.
