BACK STORY

DSP did a big "hate live" podcast including a bunch of topics including depression. A bunch of nudnig detractors start shitting on him and saying he's full of shit even though if you achually read the DSM he fulfills a lot of it. WHAT HAPPEN

Some guy joins his stream chat and starts talking about his personal depression and DSP "gives him the floor" in a way similar to what he did with WarDogLeader (WDL) which was an event where a guy said his brother died and DSP flipped shit and got mad that people weren't paying attention to his high quality video game playthrough.

WHY HAPPEN

People immediately capped/notice everything DSP does which is his thread is 3184 pages long (at the time of writing). He has the largest thread/subforum by miles on Kiwifarms and he puts out the most content of anyone, besides gameplay he usually does an hour long "prestream" every day which he talks about all manner of off topic/personal/financial shit. Its generally understood that no one even knows what fucking games he plays anymore because people have even started getting bored of his prestreams.​

Yeah, the guy was an idiot and tipped has hand after the initial outburst. He had Phil on the ropes there, he should have just let it ride. But, Phil reacted before he had confirmation that the guy was a troll, and I think it was actually Anony that first said in chat that the situation was 'Wardog all over again' as several people tried to tell Phil to stop.

So while Phil is saying he is being unjustly accused of insulting someone, I'm sitting here tying to figure out which of the 2 people he insulted in the last 24 hours he is trying to claim he didn't insult.

He claims he wants to interact with his viewers but whenever his own viewers wants to talk to him about something he accuses them of "derailing the stream" and start sperging out, flailing his arms around while moving his eyes in all direction, desparete for donations or bits.

Wow, it seems I've missed a lot. I still think that Phil needs some type of publicist or something. I have seen 6 year olds handle damage control better. Phil needs to get his ass out of the house and interact with real people. Suggesting that he get a real job is the best thing you can do for him.

I'm not denying that he is depressed, his life is shit, but locking himself up in his house and arguing with people who don't like him isn't going to work out. He needs to stop acting like he is the only one with bad shit going on in their lives and understand that most of the "bad" things in his life are minor inconveniences to most people working a 9-5.

Phil's behavior truly is baffling. After his big rant about depression and how you should show compassion to people who suffer from it he calls this guy out for no reason.

He's done something like this before too. A couple years ago he got super angry when Chris (his old website admin and pc builder) called him cancer and he went on a huge rant about how comparing him to cancer is horrible. A short time after that rant he called someone commenting on one of his videos cancerous.

It really is amazing how he manages to continually make himself look like an enormous hypocrite and asshole.

I agree with this, though the impact would have been way better if the guy had not turned out to be a C-grade troll. But the point was that Phil popped off and said stuff, like he can tell if someone is "being legit" about their depression after saying nobody should claim to judge that in his podcast.

But this also underscores that Phil is a C-grade conman. Phil has been at this for years and has not yet figured out a better way to handle this and spin it in his favour. If he had asked the guy about his depression and suggested that he seek help from a counselor or provide a hotline number or something, Phil would have come out on top (as much as he can), looked like less of a hypocrite, and the disruption to his stream would have probably been equal to taking the time to acknowledge the guy as troll. Not only that, but if he gave a flat reaction like that, the trolls would eventually lose some interest because they can't trigger him so easily into a hypocritical rant. Instead it's only more readily apparent that he is irrationally defensive and does not give two shits about depression outside of the potential it offers for begging.

I like the part where Phil claims his bad behavior and lashing out at people is entirely because of Muh Depression, because he's clearly a kind, caring, considerate, selfless, benevolent saint. Phil is a special boy whose monumental struggles deserve all the sympathy, understanding, and adulation in the world; and anyone who has anything critical to say is a secret enemy (detractor) who deservers no sympathy, should be entirely disregarded, and deservers to be reviled.
The way he demands criticism to be sandwiched between 1,000 compliments is also classic narc manipulation where they require you to provide the ammo to downplay your own criticism, and downplay it with platitudes that imply you are probably a worse piece of shit than they are. The only 'legitimate' criticism to him is where you tell him how amazing he is and then humbly request he tell you why you are wrong.

Supermeatboi lost because of his ween tactics, he baited Phil but gave him money in the first place (in form of bits/cheers) just to get the goldfish attention span focusing on him. Phil on the other hand missed an opportunity to come out on top. Instead of giving at least a neutral answer without exaggerating how much harder his life is he has chosen to act like a complete moron again, within less than 24 hours of him making a vlog about depression. He did the exact opposite of what he wanted people to do when dealing with people with depression. Another great example of how he doesn't follow his own rules he sets up for his viewers. However someone opened his wallet to troll him and he took the bait, so at least he went out with a couple of cents just to act like a clown again.
